The detail

You’ll find Woodlands Farm tucked away down a winding country lane in the heart of the North Yorkshire countryside, near the charming market town of Leyburn. The Farm has two brand new properties available to rent, a stylish five-bedroom country house and a cosy cottage for two. They can be rented individually or together for a group getaway sleeping 12 guests. As well as luxurious interiors, both stays have ample outdoor space with private hot tubs, where you can treat yourselves to an indulgent soak and take in the picturesque surroundings.

West Grange is a seriously impressive country abode for groups of up to 10. Perfect for celebrating special occasions in style, every inch of the property oozes luxury, with chic interiors expertly designed and decorated. The living room takes centre stage, with a large velvet sofa, log burning stove and floor-to-ceiling glass windows that provide panoramic views of the Wensleydale countryside. Next door is a cosy snug with a comfy sofa and smart TV, ideal for catching up on your favourite series. When it’s time to eat, guests can cook up a feast for the group in the Farmhouse kitchen, complete with modern appliances and a large central island. Meals can be shared in the spacious dining area, with a huge table seating up to 14 guests. If you don’t fancy cooking, why not relax and hire a private chef to come and cater for the group?

The home has five, uniquely designed bedrooms, each with an ensuite bath or shower room. The ground floor bedrooms include an opulent family suite with super-king bed and adjoining private snug, a second bedroom with super-king bed (can be set up as twins) and its own private courtyard and a third bedroom with a super-king bed. There are two king-size bedrooms upstairs (one can be set up as twins). Each room is fitted with the finest linen and super soft bedding to ensure a sound night’s sleep. Outside is just as impressive, with an alfresco dining area (with gas BBQ), fire pit and of course, the hot tub.

Bear Skin Cottage neighbours West Grange yet is private from the other property. Inside you’ll find a spacious, open plan kitchen and living area, characterised by high ceilings and large glass windows that bathe the room in natural light. The well-equipped kitchen has everything you could need to cook up a delicious meal, and there is a breakfast bar and dining table to eat at. Alternatively, you can dine alfresco in the enclosed garden, where you’ll also find the jacuzzi-style hot tub and a fire pit. After a day out exploring, guests can sink into the sumptuous velvet sofa and settle in for a movie night, kept warm and cosy by the log burning stove. Sliding doors open into the bedroom, complete with a super king-sized bed with premium linen and fur throws, a freestanding rolltop bath and an ensuite with monsoon shower.

Both properties are great bases from which to discover the wonderful local area. There is an array of fantastic walking routes right on your doorstep, as well as the stunning Harmby Waterfall and the Pheasant Inn pub, a popular drinking spot offering a very warm welcome and some excellent real ales. The thriving town of Leyburn is just a stone’s throw away, home to boutique shops, award-winning eateries and a famous weekly market. The area also boasts a wealth of activities for all ages. Why not visit the historic castles of Middleham and Richmond, ride the steam train at the heritage Wensleydale railway, or explore the magical garden and labyrinth of tunnels at the child-friendly ‘Forbidden Acre’?
