Soak up Whitstable’s stunning ocean scenes with a stay at this luxurious home just a short walk from the sea. With an elegant interior and a peaceful location, Turnstone House is the place for a seaside adventure. Take stroll along on the beach or even a paddle in the sea before exploring the charming town with its bohemian-feel. With rugged clifftop walks and romantic sunsets to see, there is something for everyone among these pretty, coastal scenes.
Hidden beyond an iron gate and at the end of a tiled pathway lies this beautiful house with its historic architecture. A brick archway frames the original stained glass door and leads into a lovely, vintage home that has a refined decor. A neutral colour scheme creates a sophisticated finish and is joined by quality furnishings and hints of the sea.
The living accommodation consists of two sumptuous sitting rooms with a large kitchen/diner and a relaxing garden patio. The main living room exudes an understated glamour and has a large cast iron fireplace and classic, designer sofas. The second sitting room is another stylish space and is a great additional room to keep the kids entertained.
Head to the back of the house to find the large kitchen-diner where modern American -style appliances join country kitchen worktops. A reclaimed wood table is a wonderful feature and overlooks the large bi-folding doors which open out into the garden.
Upstairs, there are three deluxe bedrooms to be found including two double rooms and a delightful twin. The master en-suite double has its own super-king-size bed with rustic wood furniture and crisp, white bedding. With views over the golf course and distant glimpses of the sea, it has a calm and relaxed coastal-feel. The second double room is equally comfortable and is joined by a cosy twin room that has a nautical theme. Ideal for the kids, it has a boat shaped bookcase with striped curtains and colourful wall hangings.
Whitstable is a unique seaside town that has endless wild beaches and a picturesque harbour. Famous for its native oyster and its artisan culture, it offers a traditional charm with contemporary influences. Independent shops line the atmospheric streets, while delicious restaurants can be found not far from the beach. The ancient town of Canterbury can also be found close-by, along with the bustling streets of London and many quaint, local towns.
