On top, a sedum planted living room keeps the barn cool in the heat of summer and pleasantly insulated during the summer months, as well as providing pollen for local bees and birds, oxygenating the environment, and providing an aesthetically pleasing roofing solution. This approach to green engineering isn’t restricted to the roof, either, with heating provided by underfloor infra-red systems, and a heat exchange system.

Inside, curved walls of gleaming white feel futuristic and pleasing, while light pours in through the many windows along the cylindrical barn. Sleeping space is divided into a master bedroom of sorts, with a full en-suite, and two bedrooms set up with twin singles. Bathed in light which pours in through the floor-ceiling windows, the dining room is the perfect place to sit down to your evening meal, prepared using local ingredients and cooked in the high-tech integrated kitchen. Despite its low environmental impact and sleek design, Bumble Barn is packed with high-tech amenities, allowing you a holiday that maximises your time exploring by reducing your time spent washing up. As well as a 4K smart-TV with integrated Blu-Ray player, Bumble Barn comes equipped with a fridge freezer, dishwasher, oven, hob and microwave, as well as a washing machine, to ensure that whatever the weather you’re prepared to hit the town the next morning.
