- The safety of our guests and housekeepers is of the upmost importance to us, and therefore we have taken the decision not to offer single night stays currently.
- Lodge is for adults only. Children can only stay upon special request.
- The neighbouring Druidstone wildlife park is closed in the winter.
- Optional extras include: the use of Wood burning Sauna - £30 (1st basket of logs, towels and flip flops), early arrival 2pm - £45, late Departure 12 noon - £45, rose petals for the bed - £10, copper bath - £30 (single couple second bedroom ONLY supplement).
The Detail...
The beautiful open-plan living area is the heart of the property, with its wood burning stove and comfy seating area flowing into the dining room with a table for up to six people. The kitchen sits at the end, with its bespoke surfaces absolutely in keeping with the style of the lodge. It also has a gas hob, electric oven, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and all other essential cooking equipment and kitchenware.
Step out of the bi-fold doors and onto the large decked area, which is perfect for enjoying the sunshine, alfresco dining, or an evening drink. Here there is also a six-person hot tub and a sauna to help eliminate stress.
Sleeping up to six people, the lodge's master bedroom boasts a king-size bed, dressing table, wardrobe and views across neighbouring Druidstone wildlife park. The second bedroom also has a king-size bed and plenty of storage areas, as well as a stunning copper bath for those who want to relax and unwind. A double sofa bed in the living area can also sleep a further couple, making the lodge ideal for either a romantic getaway or a friends' retreat.
The wet room with its two rainforest shower heads and under-floor heating is also a great touch for those looking to escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and let their worries drift away.
For those wanting to get out and about, the wildlife park is a great day out with its 12 acres of enchanted woodland, gardens and animals - from peacocks to alpacas. The Royal Oak pub is just 50 yards from Honey Lodge Retreat and has an extensive menu, beer garden and roof terrace.
A short drive will take guests to Whitstable and all its charm and culture right by the sea. Seafood and other delicacies can be enjoyed at the many pubs and restaurants, or take some produce home from the fish market. Also nearby is Canterbury and all its history and heritage, with great opportunities from the arts to shopping.
The cost of the property includes all bed linen and towels; exclusive use of the hot tub (with extra towels bath robes and slippers); the first basket of logs for the fire during winter; use of the brick barbecue; 100" Cinema screen TV with Surround sound & DVD/CD; SKY TV including sports & movies (anything above a "U" rating is only available after 9pm); 32 inch TV with DVD and Freeview in both bedrooms; wireless Internet; a welcome hamper of Kentish Products; and a bottle of Prosecco in the fridge.

Honey Lodge Retreat is situated just 10 minutes drive from either the the thriving fishing village of Whitstable, with an abundance of water sports and sailing or the historic Cathedral City of Canterbury. The Royal Oak Pub is 50 yards from the Lodge and serves fantastic cuisine Thursday to Sataurday nights Sunday lunch and a bar menu daytime. The Blean Tavern which is just a 10 minute walk serves food all week and does a mean breakfast too.

For parties of over 2 couples the double sofa bed will auto add, the cost is per stay not per night.
This is to offer a reduction in price for up to up to 2 couples ONLY, so that they are not paying the same price as 3 couples.

This adult Treehouse Space is not only unique but an ideal space for couples holidaying together to have private space away from each other but it also lends itself to proposals, blessings, vowel renewals and romantic evenings under the stars.
