This super-stylish property, designed by professional interior designers, sits just outside Bath and offers couples a romantic, elegant retreat. The owners refurbished the property recently, creating a home that is ideal for relaxing and recuperating after a day out exploring the surrounding countryside or the historic city of Bath.
The marvellous open plan living area makes use of neutral, Scandinavian styling, to create a calming, welcoming space, and the odd pop of colour adds a touch of personality and character. The living area features sleek panelled walls and a log burning stove that sits within the chimney breast. Throw some logs on the fire and get cosy on the sofa as you gaze out the window or watch a movie on the TV.
The downstairs living space also features a quaint kitchenette that has an induction hob, electric oven, stylish cabinets and plenty of work surface space. Whip up a hearty breakfast and enjoy it on the modern dining table that comfortably seats three.
After dinner, when bedtime beckons, head upstairs to the fabulous bedroom. Up here, the owners have worked with limited natural light and used a palette of blues with pops of yellow to give the space a tasteful yet playful feel. You’re just a short drive from the amazing, historic city of Bath with its traditional heritage, contemporary culture and fab green spaces. You will want to visit the modern Thermae Bath Spa, which houses the only natural thermal hot springs in Britain you can bathe in. The city is also home to some fantastic cafes, pubs and restaurants.
Lovers of the great outdoors will want to explore the wider Somerset countryside, which stretches out in all directions. Be sure to visit the Cotswolds, the Cranborne Chase Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the Mendip Hills. And after a day wandering among rolling hills and ancient forests, retire back to your stylish abode for a peaceful night of rest and relaxation.
