The Hay Trailer is a hand crafted wooden cabin built on a reclaimed hay trailer that appears as though it has always been here, resting in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, unspoilt and private. Wide steps lead up to a generous decked area and a pale blue barn door opens onto an open plan living area that's perfect for a couple wanting a relaxing break away from the busy world.
The interior is decorated in pale colours and natural woods with large windows on three sides allowing the light to flood the space. At one end you'll find a comfortable king-sized bed with crisp cotton bedding facing a small TV in the corner so you can snuggle up under the duvet with tea and biscuits and enjoy a film. Towards the centre of the room is a deep two seater sofa and a large chest of drawers for you to store your clothing. A small two seater table sits snug in front of a fully equipped kitchen area where you can happily whip up a feast to enjoy by candlelight.
The bathroom is in a separate room at the far end of the hut and, like the rest of the cabin, is decorated in white with blue accents including lovely tiles above the sink area. There's a double roll top bath and shower gel, shampoo and conditioner are provided.
After a good night's sleep start the day on the decking with a cup of coffee and enjoy the view from comfortable seating as you plan your day. The outdoor space is ideal for lazing around on a sunny afternoon with a good book and a chilled glass of wine. There's a rather marvellous wood-fired hot tub which you can pay a fee to have cleaned, heated and stoked for your entire stay. There's also a fire pit and a BBQ if you fancy dining al fresco and star gazing at night.
The Hay Trailer is set in three acres of beautiful wild garden/woodland. The owners live down the hill but there’s plenty of space for everyone to have their own privacy. If you fancy a pint or a pub meal there's two places to choose from in Marshfield, which is a two mile walk or a five minute drive, called The Catherine Wheel and The Lord Nelson Inn. Both are highly recommended and charming. There's also a great fish and chip shop two and a half miles away in Batheaston. For a day out Bath should not be missed. A fantastic, historic city, Bath has beautiful architecture, Roman baths to admire, spas to visit (try Thermae, it has a roof top pool!) and plenty of great restaurants, bars and cafes to explore.

Mid week booking (Sunday through to Thursday) is £98 per night generally speaking, sometimes more at peak times. And the general price for Friday and Saturday night is £150/night.
The hot tub is drained, cleaned and filled for each set of guests, with water and no chemicals are added.
The hot tub is wood powered, which is £75 if you’re happy to light and heat the tub yourself, or £100 if you’d like it heated for you on your first evening.
