Set in the charming hamlet of Tremail on Cornwall's North Coast, The Granary is a beautifully converted barn that offers guests plenty of luxury while being surrounded by stunning countryside. Inside, you'll find the design has carefully retained the character of the original building, with the high vaulted ceilings, oak beams and stone lintels creating plenty of rustic charm. Lots of modern touches have been added, such as underfloor heating via an air source heat pump, an eco-friendly hot tub and a fully equipped contemporary kitchen, so you can enjoy your stay in complete comfort. Spend your days exploring this beautiful part of Cornwall with long walks on Bodmin Moor, surfing lessons at the nearby Widemouth Bay or discovering Arthurian legends at Tintagel. Back at The Granary, put your feet up in front of the log burner or even do a bit of stargazing as you relax in the hot tub.
Step inside and you'll find that the bedrooms and family bathroom are located on the ground floor, benefitting from the coolness of the stone walls in the summer and the warmth of underfloor heating in the winter. The main bedroom has a king size bed and its own ensuite shower room, both beautifully furnished using soft lighting and neutral colours to create a relaxing atmosphere. There's also a twin room, making The Granary perfect for families.
Head up the stairs to the first floor and you'll be greeted by a spacious open-plan living area. High, vaulted ceilings are supported by oak beams and plenty of natural light fills the space through the windows and roof lights, helping it feel bright and airy. There's a well-equipped kitchen with everything you'll need including an air fryer and a dishwasher. Move through to the living area where you'll find comfy sofas gathered around a stylish log burner, perfect for cosy nights in. There's a dining table and also a small balcony with a table and chairs so you can enjoy your meals in the sunshine on warmer days.
The hot tub is located outside in the garden, using fresh water without any chemicals and a log stove to heat it up, providing a more eco-friendly way to relax. There's also a seating area with outdoor furniture and a BBQ, perfect for enjoying meals in the sunshine while planning your next trip to the beach. There's also some storage space in the garage for surfboards, wetsuits and bikes.
The Granary is ideally located for exploring the North Coast of Cornwall whether you prefer days at the beach, exploring seaside towns or long walks in the countryside. Bodmin Moor is right on your doorstep, offering beautiful walks and the opportunity to spot wildlife such as ponies and rare bird species. If you fancy heading down to the beach, Widemouth Bay is just 15 minutes away with its long stretch of golden sands, or you could head to Crackington Haven, a pretty shingle cove surrounded by rugged cliffs. Explore market towns and fishing villages like Camelford or Boscastle or head to Tintagel Castle, linked to the legend of King Arthur.
