The handcrafted yurts at Devon Yurt, are both set in their very own peaceful private paddock, with luxurious interiors and wood-fired hot tubs, offering up a luxurious glamping experience for up to six or a romantic break for two.
Great Links and Little Links are situated on a family farm in the beautiful countryside between Devon and Cornwall and offer the chance to get back to nature in style. Each yurt has its own pretty, private paddock, set against a dramatic Dartmoor backdrop. As you arrive you’ll be greeted by the sight of wildflowers, bees and butterflies, plus the rare breed long-wool and Zwartble sheep, Connemara ponies and chickens kept at the farm.
Great Links, the larger of the yurts, is comfortable and welcoming, with carpets and an Emperor-size sleigh bed, made up with crisp cotton linens and a wood-burning stove for cosy evenings. Three futons and a French day bed provide sleeping space for up to four children. The yurt has its own flushing WC, washing-up area and outdoor hot shower for added luxury. A private log-fired hot tub is available for guests to hire at an additional cost.
Furnished to the same high standard, Little Links is slightly smaller than Great Links and a little closer to the facilities of the farm. This yurt is suitable for a couple or family with small children. The interior of the yurt is warmed by rugs and sheepskins and comprises a comfy double bed, wood-burning stove and a table and chairs for two. A fabulous bath tub and a private fire pit can be found outside meaning you can relax in the fresh country air in style. Bathroom facilities, including flushing toilets and a rainfall shower, can be found in the shower barn nearby. Outside you’ll find a picnic table with seats draped in sheepskin and a private wood-fired hot tub, set within a secluded corner of the paddock, with woven hazel screens for privacy on one side, and a stunning uninterrupted view of Dartmoor National Park on the other.
Cooking is made easy at Devon Yurt. Each yurt has its own BBQ, washing up area and lots of equipment, from pots and pans to tea towels. Guests staying at both yurts can also make use of the onsite sauna facilities. This luxurious addition allows you to rest and unwind whilst taking in the amazing views over Dartmoor. Guests can book private sessions in the sauna during their stay.
Devon Yurt is situated in a stunningly beautiful area between the Tamar valley – an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty - and Dartmoor National Park. There are many wonderful walks from the doorstep or you can bring your own bikes - or horses - to enjoy the trails around the farm. There are some fantastic pubs serving high quality local food and cafes for delicious Devon cream teas within a short drive. Tavistock with its shops, restaurants and cafes is a 15 minute drive away.
