Drive through the grand gates and up the driveway to become lord of the manor and have an unforgettable stay in the heart of the New Forest.

Set in three-and-a-half acres of beautiful grounds, there’s only one word to describe Hazelhurst… Wow! Among the opulent grandeur of the seven bedrooms, original sweeping staircase, floor-to-ceiling windows and ample living areas, there’s modern art adorning the walls and a Farrow & Ball colour scheme to make you feel right at home. Expect plump pillows, soft sofas, neutral textures and deep tubs for that ultimate in countryside luxury.

On sunny days, move the party outside through the huge French doors. There’s plenty of space for lawn games, a good old-fashioned game of hide and seek, a swing, a slide and even a secret garden. Embrace alfresco dining and light up the large BBQ, or have your own pizza night with the pizza oven and relax in one of the several areas with tables and chairs for entertaining.

On those overcast days, cook up a feast in the fully-equipped open-plan kitchen-dining area, and entertain yourselves in the vast kids’ playroom with foosball table. For something calmer, retire to the drawing room full of books or relax in the snug with some popcorn and a movie.

As the sun goes down and everyone heads to bed, there’s a choice of king size, double and twin bedrooms, complete with sumptuous feather bedding to sink into and doze off. For the lucky ones, two of the bedrooms have ensuite facilities, while plenty of other bathrooms throughout the house all offer fresh linen and towels. Wake up with fresh coffee, sit in the gardens and watch the other ‘guests’ graze among the greenery. It’s quite something to eat your breakfast as roe deer wander through the grounds!

Hazelhurst is nestled in the beautiful New Forest National Park, a few minutes from the quaint village of Sway with its iconic Sway Tower. Stock up on supplies, relax and unwind in the local pubs or wander into the surrounding woodlands. Further afield, the picturesque towns of Lymington and Brockenhurst offer plenty of opportunities to get lost among independent shops, artisan cafes and the Saturday market. For those that want a dip in the sea, the beautiful beach at Milford-on-Sea is a few miles away. Alternatively, head inland into the New Forest to see the famous ponies and ancient woodland. Bring your bikes to explore the many, many miles of bicycle paths that crisscross the forest.
