Please note: minimum stay for this property is: 4 nights low season & 7 nights high season
Tucked away in the stunning South Devon countryside on Wood Farm is Beck. A barn renovation which dates back approximately 200-years, the exterior remains faithful to its rustic roots with its original stonework, while the interior seamlessly blends the modern and traditional. You will have your own enclosed courtyard garden while a games room (shared with another property) has a foosball and table-tennis table. Beck accommodates four guests (plus one baby) across two bedrooms, offering a country getaway that is cater-made for small groups of friends or families. On top of all that guests have easy access to South Devon and access to a heated indoor swimming pool.
Beck has been constructed with reverse living in mind, i.e., the main communal area sits on the first floor while the bedrooms are on the ground. Both bedrooms have been meticulously decorated with style and comfort at the forefront of the owners' mind. Each promises cosiness and a wonderful nights' slumber. The first bedroom - to be used either as a twin or king size - has an ensuite shower room while the double bedroom has a tiled wet room and a door which leads straight to the garden. The courtyard garden houses outdoor furniture and a BBQ, while a separate grass lawn can also be accessed - great for big and small kids alike! Should you wish to get a tournament going then the games room is where it's at. You will have a foosball and table-tennis table that's sure to keep everyone occupied!
Ascend the stairs to the first floor where you'll find the beautifully proportioned living area. This open-planned room has atmosphere and personality to spare, sitting underneath a gorgeous, vaulted cedar ceiling and providing guests with an idyllic evening space. The kitchen is equipped with all mod-cons to make cooking a breeze and the dining table seats four. The lounge area has plenty of seating and a TV, all orientated around the cosy wood burning stove.
As one of the UK's most stunning regions, Devon is a firm favourite with walkers, cyclists, and nature lovers. You will find plenty of pretty beaches speckled around the area, including those of Slapton Sands and Blackpool Sands. A short drive to the sound of Wood Farm is the South Devon Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and Dartmoor National Park is a little to the north. The park covers one of Southern England's largest expanses of wild and open countryside. Here, the landscape is unspoiled and the scenery truly arresting. There is also plenty for the adrenaline seeker, including rock climbing, kayaking, canoeing and hillwalking. The nearby towns of Totnes, Dartmouth, Knightsbridge and Salcombe are all replete with their own charms and delights. Each is well worth a visit.
