Elegant, practical and just moments from the beach, Number Ten is a holiday home where the vacation begins the moment guests pull up on the gravel driveway of this stylish and modern house. Begin the day with a morning coffee at the outdoor dining table in the quiet of the large garden before strolling down to the sea for a pre-breakfast dip. With an appetite worked up in the waves, head home for a lengthy brunch with the rest of the crew, all cooked in the large modern kitchen.
A range oven and American-style fridge, plus plenty of cupboard space for all the provisions, makes satisfying preferences a cinch, from the full English to porridge and oat milk lattes. There is a handy utility room adjacent to the kitchen where guests will find a second sink, more storage and that all-important coffee maker.
There is a stylish dinner table in the open plan space of the ground floor. Sitting on beautiful herringbone parquet and overlooking the garden, the table has plenty of seating for all and brunches easily roll late into the morning as fellow guests surface and plans are made for the day ahead.
A trip to the beach for all is a must. Sea dippers and sandcastlers will love the sandy expanse backed by dunes and sea grass, while romantics can take pre-dinner strolls in those magical hours of sunlight at the end of the day. Head back to Number Ten for drinks in the garden and grill the catch of the day on the BBQ while the youngsters tear around the large garden and jump on the trampoline until bed time beckons.
There are four gorgeous bedrooms throughout the house, one ground floor king size bedroom and a ground floor shower room plus a large family bathroom upstairs. Once the youngsters are in bed, grown-ups can enjoy a well-earned drink on the comfy sofas in the lounge area before turning in for the night.
Guests will find everything they need within a few minutes' walk of Number Ten including the beach, the shop, some great pubs and restaurants, even an arts centre and gallery. The dog-friendly Lodge Hotel is great for pizza and drinks and for something special try the Michelin-starred Neptune restaurant. While for informal lunches on the beach and steaming mugs of tea, try out the Old Town Beach Cafe.
