This charming former grain mill sits on the banks of the River Glen in the gorgeous Lincolnshire countryside. The property, which dates back to 1750, has since been lovingly converted into a beautiful bolthole, that offers groups of friends and family a marvellous place to stay.
This holiday home sleeps up to eight guests and also benefits from large living and social areas meaning you have plenty of room to spread out and have fun. There are three lounge spaces; one of these is located on the ground level and is particularly dog-friendly, the very spacious main lounge on the second floor can seat all guests and is accompanied by a wood burning stove, and finally, the separate reading room on the uppermost floor also has a sofa bed for extra flexibility.
The well equipped kitchen is modern and stylish and complete with a Belfast sink, oven, stove, fridge and microwave. There is also a separate dining table and chairs seating up to eight people on the beamed first floor, which has river views on three sides and overlooks the living room on the other, meaning dinner times are a highly pleasant affair.
The spacious master bedroom has an en-suite shower room or added privacy and convenience, while there are two further double bedrooms and a twin room. The luxurious family bathroom has a wonderful freestanding bath and there's also a further bathroom and cloakroom with a toilet.??
All rooms offer stunning views of the surrounding area and outside there is a BBQ and table and chairs for al fresco dining on those lazy summer afternoons. Fletland Mill also boasts around 300m of river frontage, with a decked pontoon providing you with the perfect spot to relax and watch the world pass by. It also has a catch and return fishing pond on site, with those staying having access to the shared 28-acre grounds.
Located near Peterborough, there are lots of great bars and restaurants in the city - while history lovers should take the time to visit Elton Hall and Peterborough Cathedral. Stamford is only seven miles away from the mill and is the home of Burghley Hall and the International Horse Trials. For those who want to get out and about there are superb natural attractions just a stone’s throw away, including Tallington Lakes and Rutland Water.
