Escape the stresses and strains of modern life with a stay at the serene Little Sunray, directly on the pebbles of Dungeness Beach. Breathtaking sea views, endless night skies and idyllic landscapes make Little Sunray the perfect place to relax and recharge with friends or family.
As you enter the rustic wooden cabin, you’re greeted with a large, open-plan living area that’s packed full of character. Built around a restored Victorian railway carriage, the natural wood tones and neutral decor make it an inviting space to retreat after a long day. In the colder months, light the wood burner and sink into the large sofas and armchairs for a romantic, cosy evening. Gather around the large TV for a film night or some board games, or let the competitive streak out with a game of pool.
In the summer months, sit out on the beach with a cold drink and some alfresco dining. The large, fully-equipped kitchen comes with everything you need to create any culinary delight, but for those who prefer to do their cooking outdoors, there’s also a coal BBQ. As the evening draws in, gather around the fire pit and stare up at the starlit dark skies… you might even spot a shooting star!
When it’s time to retire to bed, there’s a choice of rooms, both with doubles and one with twin beds for younger ones. All are adorned with comfy, plush bedding to sink into and drift off thinking about a day of adventure to come. Let the stresses on modern life soak away in the ensuite which features a deep, freestanding bath that offers stunning views over the beach.
In the morning, wake up with a refreshing shower and enjoy your morning coffee on the deck while you plan your next adventures. Whether it’s strolling along the peaceful shoreline, indulging in a romantic picnic on the pebbles, or visiting the nearby Dungeness National Nature Reserve, you’re never short of something to do. For the adventurous, there are miles of shoreline, waterways and lakes to explore by kayak, paddleboard or boat.
The enchanting town of Rye is just over the border in East Sussex. A picturesque and quintessentially English town, get lost in the cobbled alleyways, explore mediaeval churches and castles or stop in one of the many old-fashioned pubs, cosy cafes and elegant restaurants.
