Situated just outside Salcombe in Devon, Combe Down is a quaint family retreat inundated with stylish interiors. With pristinely kept gardens and unique views of the Devon fields and coast alike, this isn’t one to miss. With bright and airy interiors, Combe Down welcomes in the light with its swish white surfaces and plush wallpaper. Endlessly sophisticated, every detail is accounted for, from the colour coordination of the decorative pillows to the seamless finish on the bespoke bedframes.
This marvellous property sleeps nine guests across five fab bedrooms and four bathrooms. There is one super king bedroom and three king sized, as well as one single room. Set across two floors, the property boasts the snazziest technology to allow for the utmost relaxation, including a DVD player, WiFi, TV, an entertainment system and even a disco ball in the open plan living space.
The kitchen is installed with everything necessary for a fulfilling stay, including a freezer, two ovens, fridge, a wine cooler, dishwasher, microwave and toaster. This makes meal prep a breeze and ensures you have all you need to whip up delicious feasts for your entire group. Enjoy meals on the long dining table that sits by the window meaning you can dine long into the evening whilst enjoying the view!
The property is further equipped with two wood burners to keep you toasty and warm, and there's also an iron and ironing board, washing machine and tumble dryer for added convenience.
The exterior boasts a large terrace and an impressively-sized garden with awe-inspiring views of the quiet Devon countryside and calm shores alike. Combe Down’s most attractive element is no doubt the outdoor hot tub. This is a luxurious Swedish log fired hot tub that contains absolutely no chemicals!
The hot tub is situated in close proximity to the outdoor seating area complete with a barbecue. This area is perfect for alfresco dining during the summer months, meaning you can enjoy long evenings spent socialising as the sun sets with a glass of something bubbly. Combe Down further offers private parking for several vehicles alongside – uniquely – a boat trailer. Two further cars can be hosted in the oak frame car port, emphasising the spacious nature of this property. Put simply: there isn’t anything that Combe Down lacks.
Apt for nature lovers, Combe Down is surrounded by invigorating outdoor experiences. Guests can enjoy canoeing, golf, sailing, surfing, walking, cycling, horse riding, water sports, fishing, and much, much more in this breath-taking slice of Devon countryside. The Salcombe to Bolt Head Walk is imperative and can be accompanied by a post-endeavour visit to Salcombe Distilling Company. Salcombe Harbour is a classic delight, with Overbecks Museum and Garden posing a delightful National Trust site offering an insight into local history.t

The changeover day is usually a Thursday. However we can be flexible with this to suit guests, so please get in touch to discuss.
Summer weeks in July and August include the use of the log fired hot tub. This can be made available outside of these times for an additional charge of £250.
