With a sandy beach just a short stroll away, a calming garden to relax in and stunning sea views, it’ll be easy to adopt the laid-back Cornish lifestyle at this contemporary home. Located in the vibrant village of Rock, known as Britain’s Saint-Tropez, you’ll have the perfect mix of trendy restaurants and rugged coastal paths on your doorstep.
Walking into the spacious house, you’ll discover a light and airy sanctuary, featuring wood, stone and slate alongside huge windows and tasteful furnishings. Packed full of personality, this welcoming house truly is a home away from home.
The ground floor showcases the open-plan living area where you can relax, socialise or enjoy your favourite drink from the well-stocked bar. The seating area boasts a granite fireplace, wraparound seating and an upright piano, while the kitchen area features a breakfast bar for informal dining and all the utensils and appliances you’ll need to cook up a storm. The solid oak dining table seats up to 12 or you could roll-out the bi-fold doors and dine alfresco on the terrace.
The ground floor also houses one of the ensuite bedrooms, a wet room and a utility room. The well-thought out wet room can be accessed from outside so is perfect for rinsing sandy feet following a walk on the beach or showering off the saltwater after a surfing session.
Heading up the stunning staircase to the first floor, you’ll find four more ensuite bedrooms, all adorned with carefully chosen soft furnishings to create a relaxing space. And on the top floor a hidden gem awaits – a crow’s nest snug with a balcony and panoramic views across the estuary to Padstow. This little oasis is the ultimate spot to enjoy a morning coffee or your favourite tipple as the sun goes down.
Estuary views can also be enjoyed from the peaceful garden nestled among the trees, whether you’re relaxing on a lounger, firing up the BBQ or tucking into a meal at the alfresco dining table.
While the home is a destination in itself, there’s lots to see and do in Rock, which has a long sandy beach, a handful of restaurants and scenic coastal paths. From from the beach you can also catch the passenger ferry across the estuary to popular Padstow, a foodie’s delight known for its freshly caught seafood and fudge made from Cornish clotted cream.
