Creatively styled rooms, studios and spacious apartments across Berlin. High on cool, even higher on comfort

Located on Eberswalder Straße in Prenzlauer Berg, this modern boutique-style "inn", with a lovely on-site café, has 6 individually-styled rooms, a separate three-room apartment, and a street level studio in the same building.
With smart inn rooms and a selection of apartments and studios, Linnen have spread their understated cool across Berlin, characterised by an ethos of being ‘More Home, Less Hotel’. Their creative and eco-friendly spaces with a playful edge provide a great base to explore a city which – like Linnen – is always evolving.
Don’t expect bland uniformity here. Every room at Linnen’s inn on Eberswalder Straße – within 5 minutes of the Underground in the vicinity of Mauerpark – demonstrates an appreciation of style without being a slave to it. Housed in a 19th-century residential building, several have south-facing balconies, and all of them impress: look out for the fusion of antique and modern furnishings, soothing colour choices and a feeling of snug comfort even in the larger rooms.
You’ll get free Wi-Fi, posh tea and organic toiletries as standard, but pretty much everything else varies from room to room. Mood-wise, there’s industrial chic, period charm and the cosy feel of an alpine lodge to be found here, making Linnen the kind of place which can be completely different every time you return.
Also on site, you’ll find the Linnen café bar downstairs. This relaxed space serves breakfast daily and provides a place to mingle with the locals during the day, or chill out with other guests in the evening. Be sure to try the coffee – they’re pretty proud of it.
The informality of the Linnen concept, coupled with originality and attention to detail, have made it one of Berlin’s most sought-after stays. You’ll feel equally at home at one of their apartments in the Mitte area. Closer to the city centre, you can choose from 3 street-level studios: Lego is as colourful and innovative as its namesake, with a hint of 70s style, while Park 1 and Park 2 are all about contemporary elegance with a vintage touch - think wooden floors, natural light and eye-catching furnishings. This duo, looking out over Krausnick Park, are one above the other – the ideal solution for couples pairing up.
Finally, for larger groups, the 3-bedroom apartments Cuba and Luxx can both sleep up to 6 in equally sumptuous style. In the same building as the inn rooms, 1st-floor Cuba lies in the Prenzlauer Berg district, and has an open-plan living area and kitchen and balcony. Luxx lies in Mitte, a short walk from Alexanderplatz, and offers a slightly quirkier space with large rooms, tall windows and high ceilings. This centrally located apartment is within a short walk of all the action, with shops, bars and restaurants moments away.
Linnen could become the name you go to whenever you want to immerse yourself in Berlin’s many charms. With so much choice – and undeniably good taste - they definitely have everything covered.
