- The house has disabled access, including a walkway from the drive. However, access to Waxham Beach is sandy and relatively steep, which may not be suitable for individuals with limited mobility.

Shangri-La offers a fresh and modern twist on Norfolk’s traditional beach house. Architect-designed with stylish mid-century touches, this eco-friendly bolthole (built to Passivhaus standards) promises a holiday that's both luxurious and sustainable.
Surrounded by a large private garden and terrace, the house’s light-filled interiors are simply designed with playful pops of colour. The open plan living area frames wide garden views and features deep leather sofas, Eames dining chairs and reclaimed beach hut cladding. The sleek Scandinavian style kitchen is fully equipped for easy self-catering, with modern appliances from the coffee machine to the dishwasher and ice-cream maker.
A separate TV/games room provides a cosy space for family time or quiet moments. Designed as beautifully as the rest of the house, this cosy den is a modern space designed for fun.
When night falls there are three beautifully styled bedrooms - two kings and one twin. All of the bedrooms offer luxury linens, garden access and calm interiors that guarantee a peaceful night’s sleep. The bathrooms are equally impressive, with high-end fittings, a bold pop of colour, fluffy towels and even stargazing opportunities from the bathtub.
On arrival, you’ll be welcomed with a hamper of wine, cheese and cakes, perfect to enjoy after a beach walk.

Just beyond the dunes, at the end of the garden, lies Waxham Beach, often described as one of the finest in the UK, giving the house an unbeatable coastal setting within an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. In addition, the Norfolk section of Coastal Path runs right by the house and you can walk to several charming local cafés from your doorstep for a coffee or light lunch.
For wider exploration, Hickling Broad, Horsey Mere, a traditional village pub and a fine dining restaurant are just a short drive away - perfect for discovering the area and spotting the famous resident seals. Shangri-La is dog-friendly, so the whole family, paws included, can enjoy the perfect coastal escape.
