The detail

A charming inn standing on a pretty village green, The Cow offers guests a lovely traditional place to stay in the beautiful Derbyshire coutryside. Previously a well known pub, named the Black Cow, The Cow was reborn in 2017. Plenty of hard work was carried out to transform the pub into a boutique inn with 12 stunning, individually designed rooms.

If you're looking for a romantic room in a rustic, yet luxurious inn, or just a cosy and comfy spot from which to explore the Derbyshire countryside, then The Cow is most certainly the place for you.

Beautifully decorated and lovingly furnished, each guest room has an en-suite bathroom, and no two rooms are the same. These deluxe rooms offer locally made, hand-crafted premium mattresses, luxury bathrooms and pure 300tc Egyptian cotton bedding. You’re guaranteed to have a lovely night’s sleep!

The rooms also come with smart TV’s, free Wi-Fi, Nespresso Machines, intelligent software ‘open key’ door systems, room safes and mini bars, lightweight waffle bathrobes and Molton Brown toiletries. Individual in shape and size, the rooms range in design from contemporary and Art Deco to modern New England and shabby chic styles.

The owners love England’s unique countryside heritage and that can be seen throughout The Cow. Alongside the pretty rooms, the inn features a casual dining restaurant and bar area that shows off the building’s original 19th Century features.

The inn’s serene Dalbury Lees location makes The Cow an ideal base for corporate visitors to local industry as well as an ideal spot for those of you who want to explore the incredible countryside of both Derbyshire and the Peak District.
