Viaduct House is a characterful, detached property set near the village of Lydbrook in Gloucestershire. It has eight bedrooms comprising of two king-size zip link rooms, two king-size rooms, two doubles and two twin zip link rooms. That means there's plenty of flexibility when it comes to your stay. There are also two family bathrooms and a family shower room, meaning there shouldn't be too many queues for the shower in the morning. Also inside, there's a kitchen/diner and two sitting rooms with woodburning stoves meaning you can stay toasty and warm all year round. To the outside there is ample off-road parking and a patio with furniture and a barbecue, meaning you can enjoy some delightful al fresco meals in summer.
The living space has plenty of entertainment options including smart TVs with Sky, DVD players, radio, and a selection of games, books and DVDs. But you may just want to spend your days sitting on big, comfy leather sofas around a crackling fire, socialising with a nice glass of wine or a warm cuppa.
The bright kitchen is nicely equipped and has everything budding chefs will need to create delicious meals. There is a Rangemaster with two ovens, a grill, a warming drawer, a gas hob, a fridge and a freezer. The grand dining table is the perfect spot for delicious meals, with space for large groups to enjoy long meals together in style. If the weather's nice, you can enjoy meals outside on the garden furniture, where you can also enjoy the peace and tranquil surroundings. The garden even comes equipped with a BBQ and a pizza oven, so you can enjoy some al fresco meal prep if you wish.
Guests also have access to lockable bike, kayak and fishing tackle storage and three well-behaved pets are welcome.
Visitors to the Cotswolds have long treasured memories of charming towns and villages built from the famous honey-coloured stone, it now boasts a thriving community of contemporary artists working from studios and shops throughout the area. Lydbrook is in between the Wye Valley and the Forest of Dean, in an AONB. Nestling amidst the houses are the tea rooms, fish and chip shop, shop, Post Office and pubs with restaurants. Close by is Goodrich Castle while 7 miles away is Ross-on-Wye. This town has timbered Tudor houses clustered around the Market Hall, and there are excellent shops, pubs and restaurants to suit every taste.
