This beautifully converted barn is set in the heart of South Hams surrounded by rolling fields and close to stunning coastline. After a day at the beach or enjoying a long walk, The Threshing Barn is the perfect spot to relax and unwind. Enjoy an evening drink and al fresco dining in the large courtyard with wonderful views over the garden and out to the fields beyond. Three spacious bedrooms, a large open-plan living area and large garden make the house perfect for families, couples or friends looking to escape the hustle and bustle and explore Devon.
The contemporary open-plan living space is located on the first floor, under a vaulted ceiling with exposed wooden beams. Natural light floods in through rooflights and creates a relaxed atmosphere that feels instantly welcoming. It’s a lovely social space where you can rustle up dinners together in the well-equipped kitchen or gather around the log burner in the evenings for a game of cards.
You’ll find the three bedrooms on the ground floor, enjoying gorgeous views across the Avon valley. There’s a king size room, a double and a super king or twin, all with very comfy beds promising a great night’s sleep. The main bedroom has an ensuite shower room and there’s another family bathroom for the other two bedrooms. Double doors open onto a terrace and courtyard with seating for coffee or cocktails and a large dining table. There’s also a large enclosed garden with plenty of space for kids and dogs to run around safely.
The Threshing Barn is located in the hamlet of Hatch, an excellent base for exploring South Devon. It’s just a few miles from the pretty market town of Kingsbridge and the coast is a short drive away. The local beaches at Bantham and Bigbury on Sea are 15 minutes in the car and Salcombe, Hope Cove and Thurlestone are just along the coast. If you fancy a walk, there are footpaths to follow in every direction. It’s an easy stroll to the Aune Valley farm shop to stock up on supplies and where you can tuck into a full English breakfast at the Valley View Café next door, or to Churchstow where there’s a Post Office and convenience store as well as the excellent village pub. You can also reach the spectacular landscapes of Dartmoor and be out on the trails within an hour.

We want to say that of everything we went to Mothecombe & Hope Cove were amazing and turned out to be our favourites but there are too many to mention! Thank you for allowing us to have such a great experience in this beautiful part of England.
