The Neuk is a lovely modern lodge on two levels, in an upside down house style, with most of the bedrooms on the ground floor. It's a detached property tucked away in a private residential area, shaded by old birch trees and within a few minutes' walk of the pretty village of Kincraig. This property really is ideal for your next family break.
You enter via the first floor to find a large open-plan living area with vaulted ceilings. The sky lights and large patio doors allow the light to flood in, creating an airy and cheerful space with plenty of room for everyone. The living area has a big corner sofa tucked away in a cosy nook with soft cushions. There's also a large modern log burner to keep everyone toasty on chilly nights, whilst you watch a movie or play some tunes on the Sonos speaker. In the centre of the space is a big family dining table that seats 10 to 12 people, a perfect spot to play board games, drink wine and eat a feast prepared in the adjacent kitchen.
The kitchen is modern, high-spec, sleek and fully equipped with plenty of storage space for all the food and drink. While the dinner cooks, pour a glass of wine and head out onto the large balcony to admire the view.
The first floor is also home to the main bedroom which is huge and elegant with a comfy super-king size bed, an ensuite bathroom, a luxurious bathtub in the bedroom and a large walk-in wardrobe. A sliding door allows access to a private balcony, which is the ideal spot for a morning coffee.
Head down the spiral staircase and you'll find another large bedroom with a king size bed, ensuite and external doors directly on to the decking. There are two additional bedrooms with fabulous hand-made bunk beds and large single beds. One room has four, the other two. All are very comfy and made up with crisp linens. All of the rooms are beautifully decorated with simple modern furnishings and little touches of colour and art to make them homely.
This level also has a games room with bean bags, a sofa, an xBox with pre-loaded games and a TV where kids can relax or grownups can play! There's also a family bathroom and a utility room with washing machine and dryer for added convenience.
The outside deck is perfect for sunny days with plenty of comfortable seating and a big hot tub where you can unwind with a drink and watch the stars come out. There's a BBQ should you fancy dining alfresco and the deck sits in a shallow hollow providing privacy and shelter so you can make the most of the outdoors even if the weather isn't ideal.
The Neuk is perfectly placed to enjoy all that the area has to offer. At the foot of the Cairngorm Mountains, less than two miles from the Highland Wildlife Park and only just under five miles from the Craigellachie Nature Reserve, there's plenty of wonderful hiking and cycling opportunities. You're a short distance from grocery shops and a very short distance (50 yards) from the lovely Suie Bar, a wonderful place to meet the locals, enjoy a pint or have a bite to eat.
