Smell the fresh forest air as you approach The Treehouse, a beautiful and unique lodge that sits in the heart of the Scottish Highlands. Relax and unwind in this tranquil haven, located in the charming village of Boat of Garten, that is engulfed in an acre of mature pine and birch woodland. The comfy lodge is a spectacular wooden structure that sits high up on stilts to offer breathtaking views of the nearby Cairngorm Mountains as well as the Boat of Garten Golf Course.
The lodge, which is set away from the road, has plenty of space for friends and family. There is one double bedroom as well as a twin room and a bunk room which is perfect for kids. You can slump down on the sofa and enjoy the open plan living space whilst looking out the window at whatever seasonal colours are on display. In the warmer months dine out on the raised wooden deck, surrounded by looming trees and immerse yourself in the great outdoors. And when it’s cold outside stick some logs on the fire and curl up with a glass of something and a good book!
The Treehouse offers unrivalled access to the Cairngorm National Park and the rest of the rugged and epic Scottish Highlands. Situated in the heart of this National Park you can gaze among the trees and unlock the treasure trove of wildlife that is on offer. A bird watcher’s haven, the area is filled with many different species and you can also witness red squirrels and beautiful roe deer going about their business. If you want to enjoy an evening out or some local food at lunchtime then the village and nearby town of Aviemore have some lovely restaurants and places to eat.
You may wish to spend your time inside, enjoying the cosy comforts of The Treehouse, however, the surrounding area has lots on offer to lure you into the great outdoors. Fill up your thermos flask and head out hiking in the magnificent countryside, or go a step further and try your hand at climbing. Those that enjoy the tranquil side of nature could sit by the world renowned River Spey with a fishing rod and a picnic, or go for a peaceful stroll around Loch Insh or Loch Morlich. Sports fans can enjoy a round of golf of go for a bike ride, game of tennis or even spend the day skiing in winter.
