You’ll find this cosy lodge hidden away in a woodland setting in the Scottish Highlands close to the bustling town of Aviemore. Inside, you’ll find plenty of luxuries with a log burner to put your feet up in front of in the evenings and a sauna and jacuzzi bath to relax in. Outside, you’ll be able to make the most of the enchanting scenery with a dining nook under the eaves of the lodge and a pergola set over a mountain stream. After a long walk in the Cairngorms National Park or even a day’s skiing in the winter, rest any weary legs with a dip in the hot tub.
Step inside and you’ll find yourself in the large living space with sofas gathered around a log burner and a dining space surrounded by windows. The interior has a cosy and welcoming feel with the warm tones of the timber walls and ceiling and the ski-themed decor throughout. The kitchen is conveniently located across from the dining area and it’s just a few steps further out onto the deck if you fancy eating outdoors.
There are three bedrooms in total, sleeping up to six guests with room for two more on the fold-down double in the living room. One bedroom features a luxurious king size bed and an ensuite bathroom. There’s also a twin bedroom and a room with bunk beds, perfect for the kids. These bedrooms are just across the hall from a bathroom with a jacuzzi bath, shower and access to the sauna. There are TVs in all the bedrooms and you’ll find toiletries, fluffy towels, bathrobes and slippers all waiting for you.
Outside, you’ll find a covered deck area with heaters so you can enjoy the outdoors whatever the weather. This is where you’ll find a dining space just across from the BBQ and the hot tub. There’s also a pergola with some more seating and a table set directly above a stream that flows all the way down from the Craigellachie nature reserve.
Beaver Creek Lodge is located just 15 minutes on foot from Aviemore which is popular amongst outdoor enthusiasts. The town is the starting point for lots of adventures. In the summer, head out on the trails such as Lairig Ghru and the Speyside Way to take in the breathtaking scenery. In the winter, hit the slopes of the nearby mountains for some skiing or snowboarding. There are also some of Scotland’s most renowned whisky distilleries nearby that are open for tours and tastings or you can head to Loch Morlich to try some watersports.
