Eagle Lodge is a wonderful detached cabin offering spacious accommodation for four spread over two floors. The lodge has been designed with space and comfort in mind with a focus on using natural materials where possible. The timber cladding used both inside and out comes from sustainable Finnish forests and is treated with heat and steam alone, taking its environmental impact to a minimum. Reclaimed timber has been used throughout and an air source heat pump delivers the heating and hot water for the lodge.
Downstairs, you’ll find a spacious twin bedroom which can be made up as a super-king size and boasts ample storage plus a TV. The rustic wooden cladding adds a stylish Scandi touch while the natural neutral colours and fabrics provide a warm ambience. Adjacent to the downstairs bedroom is a modern bathroom with a bespoke Finnish sauna, rain shower and large vanity unit to give you a spa-like experience. For an added touch of luxury, the property is fitted with underfloor heating to keep you cosy throughout the year.
Also downstairs is the spacious kitchen diner. The kitchen comes equipped with Bosch appliances, granite worktops and a large kitchen island to gather around and plan your adventures. The dining table has ample seating space for up to six should you have friends or family also staying on site.
An oak staircase leads up to the living room which is split into two zones; one side has a large comfortable sofa with smart TV, while the other has a wood-burning stove and two oversized lounge chairs for cosy nights by the fire. A set of sliding patio doors lead out to a balcony area which is protected by the eaves of the roof, offering light and fresh air to the living area.
The other half of the first floor is dedicated to the bedroom which is a super-king size bed with sumptuous bedding and plenty of storage. It features a modern ensuite bathroom with a large bath for relaxing soaks and deluxe rain shower.
Sliding patio doors lead off the kitchen diner to an enclosed decked area. This is partly undercover and offers stunning views toward Craigellachie Hill. An outdoor table and chair set is located here for alfresco dining, with a charcoal BBQ for your outdoor cooking needs.
Your chalet is located in the heart of Aviemore within easy reach of all the amenities that the village has to offer. You’re also just a short drive from several other villages including Boat of Garten, Nethy Bridge and Carrbridge. A 45-minute drive or train journey will take you further north to Inverness. There is no end to the activities on offer locally; whether you’re an adrenaline junkie or just want to take in the local scenery there is something for everyone.
