This pair of award-winning cabins offer couples an idyllic retreat on a beautiful working alpaca farm in East Yorkshire. The two cabins, The Heartwood and The Botanist, each sleep two guests and offer an abundance of rustic rural charm and comfy homely touches. Add to this the private wood-fired hot tubs and superb alpaca experience on offer, and you’ve got the perfect spot for a romantic rural getaway.
Drop your bags off in your room and get comfy with a good book on the armchair in front of the wood-burning fireplace or chat with your loved one as the flames flicker away. On warmer days, head outside, into your private garden and indulge in a relaxing soak in your wood-fired hot tub. Afterwards, dry off and enjoy a drink on the swing seat, or dine alfresco on your outdoor table and chairs whilst soaking in the beautiful surroundings.
Back inside, the cabins offer well-equipped kitchenettes for preparing meals, however, you can also get grilling outside with the BBQ provided. And, when you grow weary, head to the luxurious king size bed that’s dressed in top quality linen and guarantees you and your loved one a peaceful night’s sleep. Both huts also have a modern bathroom with toilet, sink and rainfall shower.
If you’d like to add something extra special to your stay, you can pre-book a visit to meet the friendly herd of alpacas. Wander through 13 acres of picturesque woodland and meadows nestled in the heart of the Darling Woods.
Both cabins are adult only, and are tucked away between woodland, surrounded by wildflower meadows. You’re also just a 20-minute drive to York with its rich mix of things to do, from exploring its iconic medieval landmarks like York Minster and the city walls, to browsing quirky shops along The Shambles and diving into history at the Jorvik Viking Centre or the National Railway Museum.
You are also just five minutes from the pretty market town of Pocklington, where you can explore independent shops, enjoy a meal at one of the charming cafés or pubs, stroll through the tranquil Burnby Hall Gardens or catch a show at the arts centre.
