Located just one hour from the historic city of York, this luxury cabin for two offers couples a romantic retreat amidst picturesque scenery. This architect-designed, Scandinavian-inspired cabin is surrounded by beautiful 100-year-old trees and offers amazing views of the countryside.
Inside, The Lodge is quaint and cosy, with aluminium French doors that offer lovely views and flood the space with natural light. The doors open up onto a peaceful deck, where you can enjoy your first coffee of the day whilst watching the pheasants strolling by. The deck has some comfy armchairs where you can settle in with a good book, or you can unwind inside on the big comfy sofa, enjoying a glass of wine with your loved one or a movie night on the wall-mounted smart TV.
The Lodge’s kitchen is sleek and stylish and nicely equipped for preparing tasty meals during your stay. The warm, natural materials create an inviting space in which to whip up dinner using delicious local produce. Then, when the food is ready, serve it up on the stylish dining table for two and enjoy a romantic meal in peace.
When night falls, you can head outside and light the firepit, which can keep you cosy and warm as you gaze up at the stars above. Toast marshmallows and enjoy an evening drink, before heading to bed in the marvellous king size bed featuring Percale cotton linen. There’s also a luxurious bathroom at The Lodge, with a spacious walk-in shower, luxury towels and eco-friendly toiletries.
During your stay you can step outside and discover the North York Moors National Park - just minutes from The Lodge. Explore dramatic coastline at Cloughton Wyke and Hayburn Wyke, with fossil-filled beaches, waterfalls and cliff-top paths. Head inland for heather moorland, peaceful forests and cycling routes like the scenic Cinder Track. History lovers can visit Whitby Abbey, Robin Hood’s Bay or ride the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. Nature is everywhere - spot seals, deer and moorland birds. After dark, look up: Burniston’s low light pollution makes it perfect for stargazing.
