Nestled amidst 20 acres of meadows and woodlands in the south west of France, Rêve Retreat is the perfect spot for celebrations and get-togethers with friends and family. This pretty woodland village comfortably caters for groups of 12-24 guests in six luxurious wooden cabins with plenty of on-site facilities, such as the heated swimming pool, events barn and yoga deck. There’s also plenty of exploring to be done in the stunning Limousin countryside with walking and cycling routes from your front door, a swimming lake nearby and historic French towns with castles to visit and markets selling fresh local produce.

Whether you’re celebrating a big birthday, planning a wedding or simply getting the whole family together, the whole of Rêve Retreat can be booked for your exclusive use. There will be plenty of room for everyone with each of the cabins sleeping up to four adults or two adults and three small children. They’re fully insulated and each has a private bath with a lovely view out over the meadows. The cabins are located close to a shower and toilet block and have electric points powered by solar energy. If you need some extra sleeping space, bell tents can be provided or guests can bring their own and space can be arranged for them in the nearby fields and meadows.

There’s a great range of facilities on-site, including a heated swimming pool and hot tub use. There’s also an outdoor kitchenette with cooking facilities, a BBQ and an honesty bar. Your hosts can provide a range of catering options for you, from picnic hampers and BBQs to formal dinners with ingredients sourced from the local markets. In the evenings, gather around the campfire and toast marshmallows together or make use of the cinema and enjoy a movie night.

This is also a great venue for an event, with a large terrace and dining area and a 100-year-old barn that can host 90 people for dinner and dancing. A marquee can be added for larger groups and your hosts can help you arrange caterers and suppliers or you can bring your own. The barn can also host food workshops with its full commercial kitchen or even fitness and yoga sessions. If you prefer to make the most of the beautiful scenery, head into the woodland to find the yoga deck, located by a waterfall.

The cabins are surrounded by 20 acres of meadows and woodland within the Périgord-Limousin National Park with lots of exploring to be done. There are several hiking routes of various distances and just a short way away, you’ll find a large lake, perfect for swimming and kayaking. The kids can get involved with feeding the resident sheep and goats and collecting eggs from the chickens to add to a delicious cooked breakfast.

There’s plenty to do in the area whether you prefer outdoor activities or a bit of sightseeing. Enjoy the stunning natural surroundings by exploring the National Park on foot, by bike or even on horseback thanks to several nearby riding schools. Châlus is the closest town and home to two castles and a weekly market where you can pick up some treats for the BBQ. The Château de Rochechouart and its grounds are home to a Museum of Modern Art. Don’t miss a trip to Limoges to visit the Central Market Hall where you’ll find more than 40 vendors serving up a range of delicious local dishes.
