This gorgeous property sits on the green slopes of Exmoor, overlooking the scenic Somerset coast. The location offers great access to Somerset and Devon, and the picturesque fishing village of Porlock Weir is just a short stroll away. The house itself is just as impressive as its surroundings, expertly designed and finished to an exceptionally high standard. Perfect for big group getaways, it boasts six spacious bedrooms, two living areas and a games room to keep guests young and old entertained. It also has a large patio and garden, both lovely places to take in the spectacular sea views. You may even hear the occasional hoot from one of the local owls that give the property its name.
At the heart of the home is a large, open-plan living space, bathed in natural light from huge glass windows that also provide sweeping sea vistas. It’s here where you’ll find the kitchen, equipped with state-of-the-art appliances and everything you could need to cook up a feast. Meals can be shared at the large dining table or outside on the patio in the warmer months. There’s plenty of space to socialise and relax, including two lounges with sofas and smart TVs. Each can be kept warm by a double-sided log burner, ideal for cosy winter evenings and movie nights. If you fancy some competitive fun, you’ll be sure to love the games room, complete with pool table, games consoles and children’s toys.
When it’s time to unwind, six spacious bedrooms await, each with its own bathroom and two with balconies. Every bed is fitted with deep, comfy mattresses and luxurious linen to ensure a good night’s sleep. Outside the home is a large patio where guests can spend sunny afternoons soaking up the surroundings. Why not fire up the BBQ and grill up some local seafood or spend evenings by the fire pit toasting marshmallows? There’s also a large garden with hidden paths, a gentle stream and a pond.
Owlscombe is the perfect base from which to discover this wonderful part of the country. Porlock Weir is a real hidden gem of a village, offering everything from traditional pubs and tea rooms to excellent restaurants and art galleries. The beach and most cafes and pubs here are dog-friendly, so bring along your furry friends. You won’t be short of activities during your stay either, with opportunities for archery, kayaking, mountain biking, paddle boarding and more all available to be booked through local companies. West Somerset and Devon are also right on your doorstep, both renowned for their beautiful beaches and picturesque towns.

Full week booking with Friday change over are available plus 2 and 3 day weekend stays from a Friday and midweek Monday to Friday stays. Check in is from 4pm and checkout at 10am (4pm for a Sunday).
