The details
A rural retreat tucked between The Quantock Hills and Exmoor National Park, Lavender Barn is the perfect getaway for large groups who are looking for the perfect countryside holiday. A beautiful six bedroom 200-year-old converted barn with its very own gigantic indoor swimming pool, and its own private hot tub sat on a fenced in patio, this is a holiday home with a twist. Dine at the large table in the fully equipped kitchen whilst the kids hang out in the play room making the most of the table football and pool tables. Or all lounge around the flat screen TV in the comfy living room and watch a movie together as you sink into the squishy sofas and throw some logs on the wood burner.
This barn has been beautifully converted and still retains most of its old world rustic charm, whilst remaining modern and comfy. Finished to the highest standards, Lavender Barn clings to its rural character thanks to its fabulous wood exterior, oak floors throughout, exposed red stone and large green gardens where the kids can play. The kitchen has all of the modern amenities required to ensure you can cook up some delicious meals for everyone but if you fancy eating out, the local pub isn’t far. Sleeping twelve comfortably, this holiday home has six bedrooms, with six ensuite bathrooms, giving each guest their own little private area to rest and relax.
The outside patio, where the hot tub sits, also has a big table where you can enjoy a morning coffee with your breakfast in the Somerset sunshine before heading off for a day out. And what a day out you can enjoy here at two of the South West’s most gorgeous spots. Head west and you have Exmoor National Park, with its rolling green hills, ancient farmland and stunning sea views, or head east and visit the Quantock Hills, recognised as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Both of these spots offer fantastic walking and cycling opportunities and are both postcard pretty and well worth a visit. You also have plenty of quaint village pubs dotted around you, including one great little bolthole that serves up wonderful food and drink and is a mere moment’s walk from Lavender Barn.

Celebrating my birthday a group of 10 and we loved Lavender Barn. All the rooms have ensuite bathrooms and are clean and comfortable. The kitchen space is large with a grand table nd plenty of space. The lounge is also a good size. The hot tub is good and a nice courtyard. The indoor pool is also a good size and warm. All in all it’s a great place and no faults at all. Highly recommend the local pub, owned by the community and very friendly- if only all pubs were like this. We also booked the private chef, Flora, and it was a nice experience
