A stone barn conversion, Owl Barn enjoys a cosy Oxfordshire location minutes from the Chimney Meadows National Nature Reserve, with the Cotswolds similarly on the doorstep. Its rustic interiors and high beams will allow guests to feel right at home, and the outside area is a space at which to marvel, featuring luscious lawns and a terrace with table and chairs to seat ten. During the summer months, guests can benefit from the parasol and the Weber charcoal BBQ for entertaining the entire family, all the while enjoying breath-taking views of the Chimney Meadows Nature Reserve. Owl Barn is truly a place in which to take a step back from reality and relax in one of the UK’s most blissful rural locations.
With five luxuriously sized bedrooms, Owl Barn sleeps ten guests. The kitchen area features a range cooker, an American-style fridge freezer, and a dishwasher, and there is a dining table with seating for ten plus an additional six table seats for evening dinner parties. This is an ideal space for preparing and enjoying meals, and socialising with loved ones.
The property benefits from an open plan layout, with the living space boasting a wood burner, TV, DVD, wireless speaker, and complimentary WiFi for a rainy day. Owl Barn also hosts a utility room, furnished with a washing machine and a tumble dryer for added convenience. In terms of sleeping arrangements, the first and fourth bedrooms enjoy a king bed and an ensuite shower, and the second and third a twin bed. Travel cots and highchairs are available on request for guests travelling with small children, and there is also a downstairs loo.
The barn is located in a nice rural spot that's just outside the Chimney Meadows National Nature Reserve. Chimney Meadows is the largest nature reserve in Oxfordshire, and is a fab spot for nature lovers, thanks to its range of bird life, wildflowers, and butterflies. If you head a little further afield you can visit the historic and charming city of Oxford, which is just 35 minutes away by car. Be sure to visit the Ashmolean Museum of Art and Archaeology or the Pitt Rivers Museum. Or why not indulge your academic side for the afternoon at the Bodleian Library? The city also has a wide range of fabulous pubs and eateries, so be sure to enjoy a nice drink and a bite to eat. The Oxford Botanic Gardens are quintessentially Oxfordian, and The Radcliffe Camera is also well worth a visit for a nice picture op. Alternatively, the beautiful town of Woodstock is thirty minutes by car, housing the famous Blenheim Palace.
