The detail

Snipe Barn is a truly unique property, located in the depths of the stunning Oxfordshire countryside. A luxurious barn conversion, its highlight is certainly the enclosed courtyard and small paddock jutting out from the kitchen, boasting beautifully green lawns and gravel areas. Snipe Barn doesn’t age with the seasons, equipped with a cosy wood burner for the winter months and a BBQ area for the summer heatwaves.

Sleeping up to fourteen people, Snipe Barn boasts extreme levels of comfort. A sizeable barn conversion, it is family and pet friendly, and guests will enjoy the space of six bedrooms and five bathrooms. The first bedroom features a super king bed with an ensuite wet room and claw-footed bath; the second a super king with an ensuite bathroom with shower; the third a super king with an ensuite bathroom and claw-footed bath; the fourth twin beds, an extra single bed, and a walk-in shower and bath; the fifth twin beds, and the sixth a super king alongside an extra single bed, plus an ensuite wet room.

The living space, including the kitchen and dining area, is all on one level, and the open-plan layout and sizeable windows welcome the sunlight from the exterior. The lounge area is beautifully designed, with high barn ceilings, exposed beams, a wood burning fireplace, and comfy, contemporary sofas. The kitchen is furnished with an electric oven, hob, fridge, freezer, microwave, dining table, and seating for fourteen, and boasts French doors which lead to the grassed paddock outside. This is the ideal space to enjoy delicious meals with your loved ones, and socialise long into the night. The sitting room also hosts floor to ceiling windows overlooking the courtyard, and the utility room is a welcome extra, furnished with a washing machine, tumble dryer, a sink and a downstairs loo.

Just outside the Chimney Meadows National Nature Reserve, Snipe Barn is a truly rural location. The largest nature reserve in Oxfordshire, Chimney Meadows is perfect for nature dwellers, offering up a sanctuary in which to birdwatch, boasting wildflowers and butterflies alike. Slightly further afield, Oxford is a mere 35 minutes by car and is home to a myriad of historic buildings. Get your culture hat on at the Ashmolean Museum of Art and Archaeology or the Pitt Rivers Museum or pretend to be an academic for the afternoon at the Bodleian Library. The Oxford Botanic Gardens are quintessentially Oxfordian, and The Radcliffe Camera is a must-see for a great Instagram photo. Alternatively, the beautiful town of Woodstock is thirty minutes by car, housing the famous Blenheim Palace.
