Set in 70 acres of woodland and meadow, Heath Farm Cottages enjoy a most beautiful location on the edge of the Cotswolds. Just six miles from Chipping Norton, the award-winning cottages have been created in what were once farm buildings, with each one sleeping from two to four guests.
All cottages have full use of the extensive grounds, with the spectacular countryside views being a huge bonus. Inside your cottage, you will find bespoke hardwood furnishings crafted in the Cotswolds, often from the trees of the farm itself, and the work of local blacksmiths. Wooden, slate or terracotta floors add another luxury touch beneath your feet.
An open fireplace is another hallmark of all the Heath Farm Cottages, some of which are perfect for couples, and some for families. Among your options are Cobnut, spread over two floors, and the most spacious of all, Walnut, on the top two floors of a converted barn. Exposed stone walls, oak beams and solid wood staircases set the tone for a most decadent experience. Both of these larger cottages can accommodate up to four guests.
Beechnut, Chestnut and Hazelnut are ideal for solo travellers looking for a peaceful retreat, or couples in search of a romantic break in the countryside.
Beechnut is a unique property filled with character thanks to stone mullioned arched windows in the bedroom and an unusual Morocco-inspired bathroom. Hazelnut is slightly cosier, with plenty of wood and exposed stonework on display, whilst also offering the same high vaulted ceilings as Beechnut. Chestnut offers guests beautiful oak-framed French windows that open out to the herb and flower scented courtyard with its beautiful water feature.
All cottages (except Walnut) have direct access to the courtyard which provides stunning views through the stone archway out onto the Cotswolds. Chestnut and Walnut Cottage both have private gardens with Jacuzzi hot tubs and chimineas, with stunning views over the boating lake.
Larger groups can choose between Cobnut and Walnut cottage which both comfortably sleep four. Cobnut has two en-suite bedrooms, whilst Walnut has lovely open plan bedrooms.
Groups of six can combine Cobnut and Chestnut Cottage, which are linked by an amazing secret Narnia-style wardrobe door, guarded by an impressive carving of Aslan the lion. Cobnut and Chestnut are bookable together under the joint name 'Aslan'.
Walnut, Chestnut & Beechnut cottage also offer sofa beds for additional guests and for especially big groups, all of the cottages can be combined to sleep up to fourteen adults in comfort and luxury.
The grounds of this farm provide an extra dimension to your stay, with a peaceful lake with wooden jetty - ideal for a spot of wild swimming - a vegetable garden, and roaming chickens. You will see sheep, goats and geese on the farm too. The terraces of the courtyard, offer beautiful spaces to enjoy a drink or bite to eat – you can even make use of a barbecue.
The farm features a well-stocked games room bursting with fun activities, plus an outdoor games shed with giant jenga, boules, croquet, kids' archery, football and badminton/volleyball nets plus every bat & ball combo possible!
Around 45 minutes from Cheltenham and Oxford, nearby Chipping Norton is a fine starting point for exploring the scenic areas which lie between the two cities. Visitor favourites like Stow-on-the-Wold, Bourton-on-the-Water and Moreton-in-Marsh are little over ten miles away, and with no end of cosy pubs, historic houses and outdoor activities, there will be plenty to see and do around this enchanting part of England.
