Hidden away in a stunning country estate, with five pristine lakes and 70 acres of spectacular woodlands, you’ll find the romantic Tawny Retreat. This contemporary cedar-clad cabin is part of The Tawny, a collection of private rooms with access to shared hotel amenities, such as a heated outdoor pool, a restaurant serving locally sourced produce and a treatment room. This ‘deconstructed hotel’ offers you the best of both worlds – a private space in with to relax, recharge your batteries and reconnect with nature, along with all the facilities you’d enjoy at a top notch hotel.
Stepping inside this rural bolt hole, which has been designed with clean lines and understated luxury in mind, you’ll discover a wonderful haven of calm. Beautiful parquet flooring and large windows help create a light and airy oasis where you can truly relax and escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
The studio-style accommodation boasts a sumptuous velvet sofa, where you can sit and enjoy the woodland views, and a comfortable super king size bed. Tucked away in an alcove, you’d discover a luxurious sunken bath with a perfectly positioned skylight overhead. By day, you can relax under the blue sky while watching fluffy white clouds pass by and by night you can soak under the stars. There’s also a modern, hotel-style ensuite with a WC, hand basin and shower.
Outside, on your own private deck, you’ll find a spa bath and an outdoor shower. This is an idyllic spot to relax in the bubbles, maybe with a drink from the complimentary minibar in your hand, while you listen to nature’s soundtrack of birdsong and the breeze rustling through the leaves. Snuggly bathrobes and slippers are provided to complete the spa experience.
When you’re ready to explore your surroundings, you won’t be disappointed. Stunning lakes, rolling vistas and quirky garden follies await, in the 70 acres of serene countryside that makes up The Tawny estate. And if you fancy venturing a little further afield, Consall Nature Park, with its picturesque ponds and woodland paths, borders the estate, and the spectacular Staffordshire moorlands are just a short drive away.
