The Details
Waters Edge Cool Cabin is a well-equipped self-catering property with amazing views of Rudyard Lake. Located just on the edge of the country’s stunning Peak District, the wonderful waterside surroundings are just as much a feature of the property as its interiors, and provide the perfect setting in which to unwind.
Inside the cabin, the light and airy interiors and tall glazed windows allow the light and views of the lake come into the cabin. The communal living area is spacious and equipped with a stylish wood burning stove – with complimentary logs provides - making the property ideal for short breaks or longer stays.
With enough space in the property to sleep up to eight people, guests can choose to stay in the three bedrooms set within the cabin which are all fitted with flat screen TVs. Alternatively, there is the option to get a taste of glamping when you sleep under the stars in the property’s outdoor wooden sleeping pod.
The peaceful calm of Cool Cabin’s surroundings means that most guests spend as much time outside as inside. An outside hot tub, sauna and shower room will help you make the most of the fresh air as you unwind under the stars at night.
There is plenty of room to eat breakfast, lunch or dinner on the deck’s wooden table and chair set, or why not host a BBQ with your party on warmer nights? As you enjoy your meals, you might also be greeted by the lakeside’s friendly wildlife, as swans and other birds often pop by the water’s edge.
Guests looking to make the most of the waterside surroundings should take advantage of the cabin’s kayaks, canoes and a fishing-style rowing boat. For those new to water adventures, safety lessons are also available free of charge.
The surrounding Peak District is known for its National Park, with a plethora of walkways to please keen hikers. For parties including young children, there is also the option to keep small kids entertained with a day trip to the thrilling Alton Towers theme park which is set just half an hour drive away from the property.
