This boutique countryside stay is found deep in the Cotswolds, near the peaceful village of Kemble. Perfect for big groups to relax in style, the stunning property boasts multiple living areas, a well-equipped kitchen and five spacious bedrooms. You will also have the added luxury of a private spa experience on the delightful, terraced garden. Guests can soak in the woodfired hot tub and enjoy panoramic country views, work up a sweat in the sauna and then channel their inner Wim Hof by braving the ice plunge.
The house and gardens have been beautifully designed to blend seamlessly into the idyllic surroundings. Inside is equally impressive, lovingly furnished and decorated to have a real ‘home from home’ feel. At its centre is the open plan kitchen, diner and living space. The kitchen has everything you could need to whip up a delicious meal, which can be shared at the large dining table or alfresco on the terrace in the warmer months. You can even fire up the outdoor pizza oven, a new addition to the terrace. Don’t worry if you don’t fancy cooking though, the helpful hosts are more than happy to arrange caterers.
The main lounge has plenty of space for the whole group to socialise, with lots of comfy seating and a log burning stove to keep it warm throughout the year. Alternatively, you can relax in the cosy snug, a lovely place to settle in for a movie night or curl up with a good book. There’s also a designated workspace separate from the other living areas, ideal if any guests need somewhere quiet to work.
The property has five bedrooms, a single bedroom on the ground floor and four double bedrooms upstairs (three ensuite). These include a master suite with king size bed and an additional sofa bed, a family room with one super-king size bed and one single/toddler bed, and two other rooms with king size beds.
The spa facilities are found outside on the large terrace. They include a woodfired hot tub, a barrel sauna with one-way panoramic window, an ice plunge and outdoor shower. There are also loungers and hammocks to relax in and a stunning architectural lawn, perfect for picnics and evening drinks as the sun sets.
If you can pry yourselves away from the gorgeous home, you’ll find plenty to do in the surrounding area. A great place to start is by exploring one of the nearby footpaths, some of which lead to fantastic country pubs (just ask the hosts for suggestions). A short drive will take you to Cotswold Water Park, where adventurous souls can try out various activities and watersports. And finally, the vibrant market town of Cirencester is also just a short drive away, offering a unique selection of independent shops, a fascinating Roman history and a very warm welcome to visitors.
