The Cowsheds is owned and managed by Georgina Greene.
Set on a Grade II listed former dairy farm in the south of the Cotswolds, The Cowsheds offers luxury accommodation for up to 19 guests in a relaxing rural setting. The old cowsheds, piggery and hay barn have been beautifully converted to create a five-bedroom property with another one-bedroom cottage that can all be booked together. This makes a wonderful destination for big family get-togethers or celebrations with friends.
The Cowsheds consists of four beautifully designed ensuite bedrooms, all with private access. Another family bedroom sits next to the sitting room and can be shut off with a curtain when not in use and there’s also a shared kitchen and dining room. The bedrooms are named after days of the week and they all have beautiful unique features. There are the wooden beams and a roll top bath in ‘Monday’ and exposed brick walls and an antique copper basin in ‘Friday’. ‘Tuesday’ has a luxurious nickel king-size bed and panel walling, and ‘Wednesday’ features one of the original sliding barn doors.
The kitchen and dining area is a lovely place to get together and socialise over a meal. It’s spacious and bright thanks to high ceilings with exposed wooden beams and a glass frontage letting plenty of natural light in. A cosy atmosphere is created in the evenings with low-level pendant lighting and enough space for 20 around the dining table. The kitchen is well-equipped with a large range cooker, several fridges and freezers and all the cooking utensils you could need. Outside, you’ll find a pretty courtyard, lined with pear trees and a traditional stone wall. There's also a large table and chairs and a gas barbecue.
Just across from The Cowsheds, ‘The Weekender’ is a one-bedroom cottage with another kitchen, dining and living space. The cottage has a rustic feel with some elegant modern touches. It’s the perfect escape for anyone wanting a little bit of ‘me-time’ and there’s also a little outdoor space with furniture and a barbecue.
As well as being an ideal location for your next family gathering or holiday with friends, The Cowsheds is also a refreshing environment for executive meetings and small training events. Companies can benefit from the tranquil space, and all of its natural light, as well as the super fast internet speeds on offer at the property. At the front of the barns, there is a large courtyard and parking area, lined with ornamental pear trees and equipped with a large teak table and chairs, ideal for an informal outdoor meeting for up for 12 people. The spacious tables in the dining room are also great for groups and the 49” smart television is perfect for presentations.
Located in the south of the Cotswolds, between the Roman cities of Bath and Cirencester, there’s plenty to explore in the local area. Wander around pretty Cotswolds towns or visit the famous Westonbirt Arboretum. Lacock, a popular filming location for films including Harry Potter, is just twenty minutes away and is also home to a beautiful Abbey. If you’re looking to relax, there are several spas in the area, perhaps followed up by a gin tasting and cocktail making session from The Gin Spot back at The Cowsheds.
