Located in the Cotswold Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, this pretty stone pub offers up a delightful stay just outside Cirencester. Downstairs, the pub is as charming as they get with three open fires, exposed stone walls and perfectly rustic styling. Whilst upstairs, the welcoming rooms offer up a beautifully comfortable stay. Explore the surrounding area by day and indulge in hearty Italian food and perfect hospitality by night.
The ten ensuite bedrooms are all simply, yet elegantly styled. Rooms range from a Master Suite, that comes complete with an in-room roll top bath and wet room, to twin rooms, doubles and small doubles. All double rooms come with king-size beds whilst the twin rooms have two 3/4 size beds. The rooms all have a beautiful dark feature wall that sits perfectly next to the crisp white linen and colourful textiles. They also feature lovely artwork and one-off pieces of furniture that add a sprinkling of character.
Each room comes with tea/coffee making facilities, iPod docking stations, Wifi, radios and flatscreen televisions with satellite channels. And complimentary bottled water, soaps and pretty views come as standard.
Downstairs, the inn is gloriously welcoming. Serving up Italian food with gusto there is a great menu made up of small plates, salads, pasta and wood-fired pizzas. And the three open fires, exposed stonework and beamed ceilings keeps it all wonderfully rustic. There’s also a pool table for entertainment and a garden and pretty terrace in the summer.
Nestled in the Cotswolds means you don’t have to go far to discover picturesque villages amidst the delightful countryside. Being in the Cotswolds also means there are plenty of walking opportunities to be had for the more energetic. If you’re taking things a little easier, then the elegant town of Cirencester is within easy striking distance. Along its narrow streets you’ll find plenty of independent shops, boutiques and plentiful eateries to explore.
