This marvellous Mongolian yurt offers couples a romantic retreat in rural Dumfries and Galloway. Authentic and cosy, the 20-foot yurt sits in a peaceful field offering stunning views out across the rolling surrounding scenery.
On warm days, relax on your large secluded deck where you can enjoy a drink with a view. Lounge here with your loved one as the sun sets, before gazing up at the stars in peace. Then, when eyes grow weary, head inside and enjoy a perfect night’s sleep in the fabulous king size bed. At night you can also stargaze through the yurt’s skylight window or watch the clouds pass by during the day.
On cooler days, you’ll love the wood-burning stove, which ensures you stay toasty and warm. There’s also a sofa inside the yurt, where you can curl up with a good book as the flames crackle away.
Cooking facilities are provided by an electric stove and there’s a BBQ outside should you wish to grill up some delicious local produce. And, you also have W/C and shower facilities adjacent to the yurt.
This yurt sits on Castle Creavie, a 300-acre family-run farm in the heart of Galloway that has been lovingly nurtured by the Wannop family since 1992. The farm offers a welcoming haven rich in wildlife, farm life and warm hospitality for guests of all ages - including a personal tour from young Odin.
When it comes to things to do, Dumfries and Galloway offers something for everyone - from adrenaline-pumping adventures at the Seven Stanes mountain biking trails to peaceful walks through Galloway Forest Park, a designated Dark Sky Park.
