Domes by the Sea are a pair of fabulous, self-catering geodomes in Kirkcudbright, both of which sleep two. Absolutely ideal for a romantic getaway, both of the Domes offer woodburning stoves, with Pegasus also boasting its own private hot tub. Pegasus and Orion are the perfect retreat for nature lovers, no matter the weather. If you stay during the summer, you can enjoy the long, warm days relaxing in the sunshine on the shared grassland that lies in front of you. Come during the winter, and you can take in the panoramic views of the snowy landscape thanks to the Domes' generous windows.
The property is the perfect place for stargazing too, and thanks to its rural location, light pollution is kept to a minimum. Combine this with the Domes' wide skylights and you'll be discovering constellations you never knew existed! Noise pollution is likewise not something you'll have to worry about on the property and this private tract of farmland is the ideal place to unwind and unplug while enjoying a slower pace of life.
Both of the Domes are equipped with everything you need to pamper yourself and your travel partner during your stay. Home to modern kitchenettes with an electric hob, kettle and fridge, guests can whip up either simple, light meals or culinary masterpieces. Additionally, both Domes are home to king size beds and ensuite walk-in showers and toilets for convenience's sake. Orion is also pet-friendly, so if you're staying there, you can bring your canine companion with you.
If you fancy a night in, then you won't need to worry about feeling bored at Domes by the Sea. Both are home to smart TVs in their living areas as well as WiFi, so you should have everything you need to entertain yourself you and your travel companion. The town is home to various art galleries, restaurants and a quaint harbour offering a lovely place for a walk.
Guests looking to sample some of the finest views that Scotland has to offer can make the short trip up to Galloway Forest Park, Britain's largest forest park, which is a half-hour drive from the property. We stayed at Orion with our 2 wee dogs. It was really fantastic, the dome was amazing, spotless, comfy and the log burner was soon good to sit in front of. Comfy bed and lovely bathroom. The owners have really went top class, Bath robes and slippers for use to the hot tub, lovely bottle of red wine, biscuits, milk, tea, coffee etc waiting for us. Lovely woodland walk by the sea too. Highly recommend a stay here, we just loved our stay and hope to be back again.

My boyfriend & I booked Orion (the dog friendly dome) for a 3 night staycation & we honestly could not fault it. The owners were great & the domes themselves were stylish cosy and had everything & more. Brilliant location for a remote getaway. 10/10

We had the best stay in Pegasus. The owners have such an attention to detail. We booked hampers and balloons which they put up for our anniversary. They were very responsive and made us feel like we were at home. The hot tub under the stars was definitely a highlight. The dome literally had everything we needed right down to eggs and milk so we did slightly over pack. The town near by is stunning also! We will definitely book again the future.

Just back from 4 night stay in domes. Amazing accommodation set in the most beautiful setting just a 2 min walk to sea. Domes have everything you need and are fitted out to a high standard, luxurious furnishings and great attention to detail. It was 29 degrees when we stayed but cool enough in domes to sleep at night. Great stay, would definitely recommend

The domes are luxurious with very high quality bedding and towels, a powerful shower and hot water. Everything you need is provided in a well equipped kitchen and they are very eco friendly using responsibly sourced products. The location is fabulous , so quiet and we were lucky enough on the second night to have a clear sky with the most amazing view of the stars. It’s ideal for a relaxing break with beautiful scenery and interesting walks.

Absolutely fab weekend away. The Dome was lovely and all the extra little touches added such as flowers, wine, croissants from the local bakery etc were nice. Lots of information provided for what to do nearby as well as for inside the dome. Lovely and clean ready for us going in. Would definitely book again ????
