Inside, The Barn has a striking interior that makes the most of its original features. There’s a beautiful exposed stonework wall and ornate wooden floors, as well as exposed beams that fill the place with rustic, rural charm. Upon arrival, be sure to light the wood burner in the living room and get comfy on the sofas as the logs crackle away. This is a great place to socialise with a nice drink or enjoy a movie on the 65" 8K smart TV. You’ll also love the fact that each room is fitted with an integrated music system, so you can enjoy your tunes throughout your stay, no matter where you are.

If you fancy a more tranquil afternoon, head up to the snug on the second floor that features plush bean bag sofas and a smart Samsung TV. To top it off, you also have your very own private bar area, which has comfortable seating, elegant glassware and top-notch cocktail equipment. This is a fantastic place to enjoy a drink come the evening.

Your designated chef will love preparing meals in the kitchen, which is modern and nicely equipped with high-end appliances. You’ve got a Smeg fridge, Swan Stealth microwave, kettle, toaster, a Rangemaster stove, Bosche dishwasher, Samsung washing machine and a Nespresso coffee maker for that all-important first brew of the day. Complimentary coffee pods, tea, sugar and oat milk are included.

When bed time beckons, you’ll adore the striking family bathroom that features a black Burlington toilet, walk-in waterfall shower, bespoke stone sink and a freestanding black bath. Then head to bed in one of the amazing bedrooms. There’s a king size room on the first floor as well as two ensuite bedrooms on the ground floor. Underfloor heating on the ground floor, along with central heating controlled by independent thermostats in each room, ensures you and your loved ones enjoy a warm and inviting stay.

If you venture out and explore the area there’s lots to see and do. Nestled between the Lake District towns of Kendal and Windermere, the village of Staveley exudes quintessential English charm, remaining largely undisturbed for visitors to leisurely explore its diverse shops, cafes and bars.

You can discover the village's historical landmarks, such as The Tower of Saint Margaret, the sole remnant of a church erected in 1388. For a more contemporary experience, venture to Hawkshead Brewery to try their homemade brews, widely distributed to restaurants and bars across the Lake District.

Choosing Staveley as a base is a rewarding decision, as it offers tranquillity and scenic beauty in the nearby Kentmere Valley. Classic walks beckon in every direction, including 'The Dalesway,' a nature-filled route teeming with wildlife, conveniently starting a mere five minutes away from The Barn.
