Get away from the hustle and bustle and escape to the countryside at Angel Barn, a 3-bedroom property that sits within the Yorkshire Dales National Park and just a stone's throw from the Lake District. Sat in Cumbria, this grade two listed converted 15th Century barn has stunning views in all directions.
Sleeping 6 guests, there is plenty of space for a family getaway or a trip to the countryside with friends. The sitting room perfectly combines comfort and luxury, with sofas upholstered in British wool and a woodburner for those cosy winter nights in. A TV and DVD player sits subtly behind a Georgian corner cupboard and there is also an iPod dock, DAB radio and WiFi throughout, meaning fun evenings in are always an option.
The fully-fitted kitchen has been handmade and boasts a fridge/freezer with ice machine, Rangemaster cooker, dishwasher and everything else needed to prepare culinary delights - helped along with a champagne welcome hamper filled with local goodies to get you started in style. A double farmhouse table makes it ideal for enjoying a dinner party or feast.
The 3 comfy bedrooms all have en suite bathrooms for added privacy. The focal point of the master room is the bed, which has been lovingly handcrafted by the owner out of the original cattle stalls from the barn. In the bathroom there is a double ended bath and extra-large shower. The middle twin bedroom can be converted into a king size and has an antique church pew as the headboard, while the end bedroom is also king size and has the original beams in the high ceilings.
When the weather is fine double doors from the living room help to bring the outside in. Here guests of Angel Barn will find a decked area with sofas, as well as a charcoal barbecue and wood fired hot tub to relax in after a hard day on the fells. This is also a perfect spot for taking in the beautiful views over the upper Lune and Eden Valleys across to Blencathra and the Northern Lakes, as well as the magnificent Howgill Fells. Adventures can be had right on your doorstep with plenty of opportunities for walks and bike rides.
