The charming coastal parish of Mudeford in Dorset is home to this sleek, contemporary family home, ideal for multi-generational groups looking for a seaside adventure.
The Coast House can house up to 10 guests, with four bedrooms in the main house and a fifth within a cosy heated annex. All, save one, come with ensuite showers, providing an edge of luxury to the stay. The bedrooms are also spread between the ground floor and the upper floor, making things a bit easier for anyone who is keen to avoid stairs.
Adding to the family-friendly nature of the house is the fact that furry friends are welcome as well; there’s space for one medium-size dog here.
This house is ideal for relaxing as a group, with the kitchen, dining and living spaces all open plan. There’s also a substantial island in the kitchen, which could play host to a delicious meal or a gigantic board game battle.
The kitchen contains everything you would need to cater for the whole family, with coffee-making facilities for those who need their regular cups of joe, and a dishwasher that allows you to spend your time chilling out rather than worrying about cleaning.
From here, you can open the bi-fold doors and enter a neatly kept private garden. There’s plenty of space and seating out here for relaxing in the sun and alfresco dining, as well as a BBQ for any grilling you might fancy.
If a cosy night in is more your thing, curl up on a plush sofa in front of the log burner with a book or dig into a new box set using the HDTV. And there’s even some work space in the annex for anyone who isn’t able to completely switch off from their day job.
Provisions are available for infants, with baby gates, a high chair and cots all available. There are even some babysitter recommendations if the grown-ups want to have a bit of time going out and about by themselves.
And there is plenty to explore in the local area. Take in the Blue Flag-worthy beaches that are just a 10-minute walk away and check out the array of delicious restaurants and cafes by the harbour. Off-road parking for three cars at the property makes it easy for guests to drive to and fro, providing further opportunities for adventuring. Further afield, you have the bustling town of Bournemouth and the idyllic market town of Lymington within reach. And if you fancy a short drive, you can easily journey to the New Forest with its glorious greenery, horses and ponies and more charming pubs and restaurants than you can shake a stick at.
