The detail

Set on a private estate in the village of Middleton-on-Sea in West Sussex, this luxurious five-bedroom house has spectacular sea views and direct access onto the beach. Sun Beach House sleeps up to ten, making it a great choice for family gatherings or laid back holidays with friends. The large living spaces are perfect for entertaining and the huge garden has been designed for long sunny afternoons by the beach. After a chilled day at the beach, relax in the hot tub as something sizzles away on the barbecue. In the evenings, gather around the fire pit with a glass of something and enjoy the panoramic views of the sea as the sun sets.

The interior of the house is warm and welcoming, having been furnished in a tasteful, yet relaxed style. This immediately helps you adjust to the beach lifestyle and the house has been designed to draw you towards those sea views. There are three sets of French windows that access the garden and look out to the beach and all of the bedrooms offer fantastic views of the sea.

There are large, airy living spaces, perfect for socialising, such as the dining and whisky room and the adjoining lounge with its wood burner and 75” Smart TV. The open plan kitchen is well equipped with plenty of room for everyone to get stuck in with the cooking and there’s also a garden room with folding glass doors that open up completely on two sides.

You’ll find four of the five bedrooms on the first floor. The master bedroom suite, the ‘Pink bedroom’ and the ‘Pineapple bedroom’ all have access to the balcony which stretches the full width of the house and has spectacular views as far as Brighton and the Rampion Offshore Wind Farm. There’s also a twin room, perfect for the kids, and a family bathroom on this floor. Upstairs, you’ll find the ‘Crow’s Nest bedroom’, a sumptuous super king room with its own balcony and double bath in the ensuite.

With the long sandy beach on your doorstep, a fully equipped garden and the relaxed seaside village of Middleton on Sea offering shops, pubs and fish and chips, you have everything you need within walking distance. If you do feel the urge to explore a little further, a coastal walk to Climping Beach or Bognor Regis will help make the most of those stunning sea views. For a change of scene, head north to the historic market town of Arundel with its majestic castle, or explore the South Downs National Park by bike, on foot or even on horseback.
