On an Essex farm with views of the River Crouch, Creeksea Place Barns offer stylish countryside living around an hour from London. There’s lots on site to keep you occupied, with a gym, spa, café and children’s play area just some of the things you’ll find on your doorstep.

With a choice of 8 self-catering barns, part of the fun is deciding which of the Creeksea Place Barns suits your style best. River View has room for 4 in a double and twin bedroom, and features a stunning living area with exposed beams, a dramatic iron chandelier and direct access to a spacious patio.

The timbered Hay Loft accommodates 5 in the master and on the mezzanine. Antique furnishings and lots of space make it a homely choice for families, and there’s TV, DVD and Wi-Fi too. The 3-bedroom Swift Barn is just as impressive, with an open-plan kitchen living and dining area, and a large master bedroom with king-size bed and en suite.

For couples, take a look at the Hen House or Fisherman’s Lodge. Just like their larger counterparts, these barns have fully equipped kitchens and luxury bathrooms. In the Hen House, you can lie back in the bath and look up at the stars!

Creeksea Place Barns also offer 2 hotel rooms, the double Lavender Room and twin Garden Suite. Elegantly furnished with en suite showers and tea and coffee facilities, these could be handy for accommodating any extra guests you can’t fit in your barn.

Finally, with room for 8 guests, The Granary is the biggest barn of them all. Full of antique and vintage touches, this impressive 4-bedroom barn (all of them en suite) features a vaulted living and dining area fit for a banquet. Step through the French doors on to the deck and you’ll be greeted with some beautiful views of the farm and fields beyond.

Creeksea Place Barns is even available for exclusive use. Rent the lot and up to 30 guests can get away from it all. Nearby Burnham-on-Crouch has golf and sailing clubs just down the road, or you can simply walk to the pretty quayside for lunch. If even that sounds like too much, the on-site gym and spa provides the perfect excuse to indulge in a massage or beauty treatment.
