Sitting at the end of a marvellous, tree-lined driveway, past an ornamental lake and Japanese gardens, Nedging Hall Estate is a grand holiday retreat for large groups. Sleeping 20 guests across nine bedrooms (and up to 24 with the use of single day beds and z-beds), this home-from-home has spacious living spaces, elegant furnishings, a swimming pool, a sauna and a private tennis court.

Relax with your friends in the quintessential English drawing room, which features calming tones, antique furnishings and a roaring wood-burning fireplace. This is the perfect place to catch up over a glass of wine or an afternoon cup of tea. Double doors allow natural light to flood in, whilst also opening up onto the terrace so you can take your drinks outside.

The grand dining room is ideal for huge feasts together, with its high ceiling, roaring log fireplace and huge dining table that comfortably seats 24, making it large enough for your whole group. There’s also a second table with room for six more guests and chinaware and glassware for up to 24 people, so you can comfortably dine together as one group.

When it comes to preparing meals, the fabulous and stylish kitchen has all of the amenities you’ll need to whip up a delicious feast. There’s a range cooker, two large fridges and even a sizable wine fridge. The kitchen also features a huge island where you can perch with a drink, keeping the chef company. There’s even a small dining table here for informal lunches and quick breakfasts.

When it comes to filling your days at Nedging Hall Estate, you’ve got lots to keep you busy. Be sure to go for a dip in the indoor swimming pool, which sits in its own beautiful timber-framed pool house. Step inside and you’ll find the saltwater pool and sauna, where you can unwind in peace. If you fancy challenging a friend to a game, you’ve also got your very own private tennis court and a billiards room.

At night there are nine uniquely designed bedrooms to choose from that all continue the home’s classic, stylish atmosphere. The bedrooms almost all have super-king size beds as well as carefully chosen antiques and contemporary soft furnishings. The owners can also provide up to six day beds which they can place in any of the bedrooms for additional guests. Nedging Hall also features seven beautiful, modern bathrooms that ooze style.

Stepping outside, the garden is outstanding. You can wander around the terraces, admiring the bountiful Kitchen Garden or sit with a glass of wine under the pergola. Or make your way to the large stone terrace that overlooks the surrounding parkland where you can sit and enjoy a drink around the three dining tables that can comfortably seat your whole group. There’s even a professional gas BBQ here and comfy sun loungers for lazy afternoons.

The Hall sits on a hill so you can make the most of the far-reaching views over church spires, villages and woodland. If you wish to venture out then there are miles of country walks all around you. You can go for a nice stroll to the village of Bildeston or venture further afield and explore all that Suffolk has to offer. Suffolk is known for its historic pubs and fabulous food and is home to fertile farmland and a vast coastline. So whichever direction you head out in, you’re sure to find something you’ll love.
