Wake up in the wilderness in the middle of the Graveney marshes in Kent. Nagden House is a self-catered retreat situated right on a tidal creek in the Faversham area and is the perfect venue for a celebration or special occasion.
Sleeping up to 10 guests across five beautiful bedrooms, the house enjoys stunning panoramic views across the creek and marshes. Finished to a high standard, the property boasts an array of social areas to enjoy. This includes the comfortable sitting room with log burner, the cosy reading corner for quieter moments, and the cinema room with 65-inch Smart TV with Netflix, Prime, Apple TV, and Disney Plus - which also doubles as a playroom.
The large and well equipped kitchen has a range cooker and Le Creuset pans for cooking up a feast, which can then be enjoyed in the separate dining room. In here, there is a huge handmade oak table and French doors opening out onto the garden with the creekside beyond.
Upstairs there are five elegant and stylish bedrooms, all with king-size beds and superb views. The dual aspect master bedroom is a particular gem, with its Juliet balcony the perfect place to watch the sun disappear over the marshes. Both bathrooms boast double-ended roll-top freestanding baths, and separate rain head showers.
Nagden House is the ideal spot to relax and unwind whatever the time of year. In the summer, the heat invites those staying to utilise the jetty for sunbathing, jumping into the creek for a dip, or heading out paddleboarding or sailing. The orchard in the private and enclosed gardens also comes into their own with an abundance of cherries, apples, pears, apricots, and damsons. In the cooler months, take walks to the coast - which is only 15 minutes away - or chill out in the cedar-wood hot tub.
Younger guests will enjoy the World War II pillbox, which now acts as an exciting fort for kids. At the same time, the adults can enjoy a morning coffee or an alfresco meal on the creekside terrace area. Whether watching the wide array of birdlife in the day, or taking in the starry sky overhead at night, this is a truly unique location. Whitstable, Faversham and Canterbury are also close by.
