The detail

Sitting in the France's Taussat area is a property that truly is like no other. Its many noteworthy features include a cinema room, eight ensuite bedrooms, a library, striking views of Arachon Bay and a huge landscaped garden complete with a private infinity pool. For the restless, there are also several on-site activities such as boules and crochet to enjoy. Guests can even borrow the canoes and go for a paddle! Villa Lanton sleeps up to 15 guests and promises a stay that is full of luxury, comfort, and fun and comes with its own butler service.

The ground floor has a modern and fully equipped kitchen, a dining room with a large table, a separate lounge, a cinema/seminar room, and a library with an extensive collection of books and games. There is also a double bedroom with a large ensuite which opens up onto the verandah. The first floor houses the home office along with three double bedrooms, all with ensuite and king size beds. The master bedroom also boasts a double-sized hot tub, his and her dressing rooms, and a private terrace that overlooks Arachon Bay and the private gardens.

The second floor has an ensuite king size bedroom while the villa's tower contains La Vue. La Vue is another king size bedroom that offers a 360-degree sea and forest view, along with an ensuite with a shower and a bath. On the lower ground floor there are two further spaces, Le Studio and La Chauriere. The former is an independent studio with a double bed, ensuite, kitchenette and private access from the garden and ground floor. The latter is a double bedroom with yet another ensuite. There is 5,000 square metres of landscaped gardens to wander through, which includes a potager, nature springs, lots of places to lounge, an outdoor infinity pool and the sea just a stone's throw away.

There is more than enough to keep guests occupied on-site, but there is also plenty to do in the region. The popular seaside resort of Arcachon is 40-minutes by car, itself located in the beautiful Landes forest. Less than an hour's drive to the east is Bordeaux. This port city is famed for its beautiful architecture, courtyards, town squares, French-style gardens, and its lively street life. It is also known as a world capital of wine, and the region has numerous vineyards. For the foodies, the city is also a gastronomy capital, with numerous gourmet restaurants to try.
