Nestled in the beautiful Norfolk Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, with its idyllic rural landscape, windswept sandy beaches and quaint villages, The Nook is your retreat from the hustle and bustle of the modern world. The cottage has been lovingly refurbished and restyled using reclaimed materials and vintage finds along with the practicalities of modern living.
As you enter The Nook, you’re greeted by the small but well-equipped country-style kitchenette. With all the appliances you need, including a toaster, kettle and a mini oven/air fryer, making breakfast, lunch or dinner is a breeze. Pick up local Norfolk produce on your travels and indulge yourself after a day of exploring. All crockery and utensils are supplied, as well as sauces, oils and spices to jazz up any meal. In the mornings, the Grind coffee machine fills The Nook with the inviting smell of fresh coffee.
Moving through to the lounge and dining area, your eyes are drawn to the exposed wooden beams and the large, comfy sofa next to the log burner. Imagine curling up under a blanket after a long day exploring Norfolk. The stove crackles and fills the room with a warming glow, while the pair of you play games or watch a film on the smart TV with all the streaming services. For a soundtrack, there’s a Roberts Bluetooth Speaker to connect your own devices to, while industrial lamps create that cosy atmosphere that somewhere like The Nook demands. In the summer months, make the most of the large garden with furniture, and relax as the sun sets over the Norfolk countryside.
As the night draws in, head upstairs to your large bedroom with its antique brass, king size bed and thick, plush bedding. The low ceilings and small windows befit a historic cottage and create a cosy haven to drift off in. Let your mind wander with a book in one of the two reading areas within the bedroom, one of which has views over the hills of Sedgeford. There are also binoculars and a floor cushion provided to explore it in more detail and comfort. Wake up refreshed and recharged before stepping into the shower downstairs to prepare for the day ahead. Eco-friendly, vegan toiletries are provided, as is Bumboo toilet paper to minimise environmental impact.
The Norfolk Coast AONB is a stunning part of East Anglia to explore, with wonderful beaches, idyllic rural villages and countless walking paths to wander. Visit the striking cliffs of Hunstanton, take in the dunes and endless sands of Holkham near Wells-next-the-sea, or further afield, rent a day boat and explore the beautiful waterways of The Broads.

Leave a reviewWe’ve had a lovely stay at The Nook with our two dogs whilst exploring the Norfolk coast. The cottage is beautiful, quirky, cosy and very comfortable. We loved all the attention to detail in the interior finishes including the eco-credentials of using recycled materials and environmentally friendly toiletries. It’s also only a very short walk to the pub! I’m sure we’ll book again!
