Seal, Samphire, Sky, Shell and Salt, set in a row in a converted cartshed, are five cottages inspired by the elements of North Norfolk.

Vintage and contemporary furniture, oak floors, natural materials and muted colours create a laid back vibe that echoes the wild beauty of the local environment. In the grounds of a Jacobean manor house, in cottages that sleep 1-4, you’ll find you are ideally located to explore North Norfolk.

So choose either Shell, Sky, Samphire, Seal or Salt, and inside you’ll find stunning hand-built painted kitchens, roll top baths and large open fireplaces with log burning stove for keeping you warm and cosy.

At Shell you’ll find two en suite double bedrooms. One has a euro-king (160cm) four-poster bed with grand doors that open into a bathroom with a cast iron roll-top bath. The second bedroom offers twin or a super-king sized bed with doors opening into a bathroom with a walk-in shower.

At Sky there are two bedrooms and en suite bathrooms: one with a king sized bed and a huge walk-in shower, the other with a super king or twin beds opening (no door) into a generous bathroom complete with a cast iron roll top bath.
Samphire is the 2-bed, 1-bath cottage. Upstairs there are two bedrooms, one double and one with either a super king or twin beds. The shared bathroom has a cast iron roll top bath and a separate shower.

Seal is a 1-bed cottage designed for couples. There is a large bedroom with a euro-king four-poster bed, a chaise longue and roll top cast iron bath in the room. There is a separate shower room with a large walk-in shower.

Salt is a one bedroom cottage, more recently refurbished, with a king-size bed and a gorgeous bath in the bedroom, a separate shower room with large walk-in shower.

All cottages feature free WiFi, Freesat smart TV, DVD player, digital radio/Bluetooth speaker, dishwasher, hairdryer, central heating and access to washing machine/ironing. Towels, linens and logs are provided for your log-burning stove. And all cottages have a private terrace, where you can sit at a table and chairs to enjoy eating outdoors with views out over the garden and open fields – Salt’s terrace is more private, with views of the Hall.

Cartshed Cottages at Sharrington Hall are perfectly located to explore North Norfolk; take a stroll across the vast Holkham beach, enjoy the countryside or go in search of local wildlife as you head across salt marshes. Check out the nearby gastro pubs, delis and cafes serving plenty of locally caught oysters, crabs and fish, then wander through pretty villages and nearby stately homes in search of Norfolk’s history. You’ll find Blakeney, Holt, Holkham, Wells, Cley, Burnham Market all within easy reach of your cottage.
