The Hyde offers couples a marvellous treehouse retreat that's a short walk from the beach in Cornwall. With a gorgeous exterior and beautiful interior, every inch of this treehouse has been crafted by hand. The treehouse is tucked away in dense woodland, offering solo travellers or couples the chance to rest and unwind in the tranquillity of nature.
Inside, the treehouse makes use of quirky, bohemian touches as well as luxurious appliances and linens. That means you have all you need to whip up delicious meals in the wonderfully equipped kitchen, but can still enjoy the rustic rural charm that appears throughout the property.
Starting with the kitchen, it is decorated with beautiful Picccolpaso handmade tiles, and has everything you need to make meals during your stay. That includes a Neff electric oven and gas hob, microwave, pots and pans, plates, mugs, glass and silverware, Smeg toaster, Nespresso coffee maker and even a milk frother for added luxury! There's also a fridge with an ice box and a dishwasher for two meaning no one gets lumbered with the washing up! Enjoy meals at the quaint dining table, which is set up for your arrival with a welcoming Cornish Cream Tea, or dine alfresco out on the deck.
The glass-covered deck offers not only a dining spot, but also has a fantastic Heston Blumenthal BBQ, which makes alfresco meal prep a joy. This spot is nestled in the trees and is an amazing place to enjoy a morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening. Staying outside, you can also enjoy the woods that surround the property. Have an afternoon snooze in the hammocks or venture down the pathway to your own private garden complete with loungers and cushions.
Heading back inside, the open plan living room is nice and toasty in winter and is lovely and cool in summer thanks to the big doors that open out onto the deck. This space features a large, comfy sofa, that offers you the perfect place to nestle in with a good book. And, if you want to watch a movie or catch up on your favourite box sets, the TV comes equipped with Netflix, Sky Sports and Now TV. You can also listen to your favourite playlist through the Bose speaker. There are plenty of books and boardgames if you need an alternative to television.
When bedtime beckons, the cosy bedroom features a comfortable king size bed made up with 'Tielle Love Luxury' sumptuous bedlinen and a Manuel Canovas upholstered bedhead, a choice of pillows, dual-control heated blanket for cold winter nights, small hanging cupboard and a chest of drawers. Wake up and open the French doors to enjoy relaxing birdsong and start your day in style. There's also a nice ensuite shower room that is decorated with tiles from the papal palace at Avignon. The room features a spacious walk-in rainfall shower with constant hot water and lots of fluffy towels and robes on the heated towel rail. You also have a hairdryer and lots of NOBLE ISLE bath products. Alternatively, pop outside and enjoy an outside shower with hot and cold water.
If you wish to work during your stay, The Hyde features excellent WiFi with a superfast download and upload speed. The owners can also give long-stay guests the use of a garden office/library with a large desk and a comfy office chair where you won’t be interrupted whilst you work.
Guests may wish to relax in the peace and tranquillity of the Hyde, but those who do wish to head out and explore the area will be delighted to know that the treehouse sits just one mile from the dramatic North Cornish coast. It's just a short walk through the valley to the beautiful Porthtowan beach with its golden sands and sparkling blue sea. Avid walkers will also be pleased with the selection of trails just minutes from The Hyde. The treehouse is perfectly situated to easily reach both the South and North coastline, offering the best of both worlds.
